Eric! i was in your congregation when you were going through Gilead. So very nice to see you, and especially so knowing that you are now walking in freedom and not servitude.

Wonderful video. I myself was. Bethelite. Started in Brooklyn and transferred to Walkill, N.Y. saw horrible things. My children stopped talking to me n left when I revealed those facts. Left the JWs for the same reasons u talk about. Logic defies their lies. I never left the Truth. I got PhD. In science and now I love the Bible more than ever. I Go to nice churches that put love ahead of doctrine. Great video thanks.

I met Eric twice, once in NY at Bethel back in 1991 and then over in France. We stayed with his wonderful in laws/family in France. Beautiful family home and they held a small soiree for us. If Eric is reading this... I'm out. I'm 'awake'. I was there with a Bethel couple and another pioneer sister Jen. The four of us. The Tullgrens, Jen and myself. We had a great time. And Eric and his wife we're so kind and loving and fun! I think I'm the only one that left. I was so happy to see and hear this interview. It helps me to realize I'm not crazy. I'm awake and my heart conscience is correct. So much to say. Thank you Eric ~Beroean Pickets for this. You made my year! I'm not alone in my reasonings.

Eric! It is so good to see you again. I was at Wallkill when you and your wife came through Gilead. I know you have a picture from that time (We had a going away party for you). We (I had a wife at that time) got to know you a bit and I was drawn to your warmth. You are a very loving brother and we think alike. We did then and I see that we do now. I felt like you were reading my mind. I feel the same way as your explanation in Hebrews. I also relate to feeling betrayed, that they are the ones that deviated from the truth. I wondered when I would see someone I know waking up & there you are! God bless you!

I went to the 97th Gilead class in 1994 at wallkill my, we probably came shortly after Eric did. We have similar story but differences as well…interesting interview.

I served in the London Bethel in the 1970s. There were some good Bethelites. Some fond memories.

What a wonderful interview, I appreciated Eric’s presentation and he had his Bible right there as his proof from his investigations of the ‘truth’. Thank you so much for this jewel, it was quite uplifting with so much positivity even though he was actually revealing the WT falsehoods. Can’t wait to listen to Part 2!!

The thing that is so damning is, they knew that they were wrong and proceeded to try to cover it up. Looking at what I've come to know in the perspective of time I kept making excuses for them (the Society) they are working towards the truth, when in fact they were trying to cover their tracks 👣 and the when you look at the Proclaimers book 📖 it was a reaction to what Ray Franz revealed about the Society's duplicity. There is so much more to say about this but I will leave it for another time. Along with freedom, humility is a giant gift when waking up in him and not ourselves. We no longer are bible students and scholars discovering truths and doctrines, we are humble followers with his easy load being finally directed in our steps in his easy law of love and following his commandments, thank God it is so simple!

It's the same thing I said to the elders the last time we met. Today's docrtines are not the same I accepted when I got baptized in 1989, so it's up to me whether to accept or not these new teachings so called "new light". Jehovah does not change and with him there is not a variation of the turning of the shadow according to disciple James (1:17)

About the Answer to the Disciples Question its given in Two parts one being "when will these things be", and the other about the "SIGN of Christ's Coming",we all know what THESE things are then in Matthew 24: from verse 23 he gives a Warning and part of that warning is about the. " SIGN of his Coming", he first tells them NOT to believe anyone saying that his Coming would be unseen like being in the "Wilderness" or "Inner Chambers" but that his Coming will be SEEN just like you See LIGHTNING . So what the Watchtower teaches is the OPPOSITE to what the Scriptures teach.

The 607 BCE-1914 doctrine was a deal-breaker for me too, so I appreciate, Eric BZ, methodically explaining how he came to the conclusion it was incorrect.

👉 What bothers me very much is the fact they dont apologize for all mistakes they had. They say like: "in the past JW used to believe..." Or "Back that time, some believe that..."... They never say: "As a GB we believed, in the past, that..."... A 2016 convention showed a video about "a certain date"... they put all responsabilities on JW publishers about the 1975 date... I asked my father (who learned the truth around 1978) and others older brothers, but it seems like no one remember or care about contradictions!!! I guess, one day, when the overlapping generation becomes so evident, the GB will say: We all are dedicated to a God, no to a date"... Unbelieveable...

*Fantastic Interview. Once you set a prophetic date and predict an effect, it becomes immutable. From early on in my association, I used the "1914 generation" as THE litmus test for the J W's credibility. When they tampered with it in the mid ninety's I walked out. (I remember the day well) What amazed me is... I was the only one in the congregation that seemed alarmed by the announcement? Now here we are some 30 years later, and countless changes, yet my entire family remains clueless, and completely enthralled by the org. They say Ignorance is bliss.😆 Well done Eric n Eric!!

I was born n 1960 too. Since 13 I desired to go to Gilead. At 14 I got to attend mtng for those interested in this- it was following a session of Dist. Convention. I also remember Franz talk marking Sept 5, 1975. I was baptized at 17. Following ‘75 they said we shouldn’t be serving for any day/hour. I recall too they either would say the Grt Tribulation was right in front of us, (due to war, civil unrest,) or whenever they say peace & security, ( talking about 1986 being the International Year of Peace). I recall many doctrinal flip flops, and doctrinal changes that disturbed me deeply- especially those that didn’t seem to be in context/ harmony with surrounding scripture. But also I feared because we are told “ …do not lean on your own understanding.” The things you say/discuss I too have seen. And in fact I seem to know what u will reference, what scriptures u will go to and most times I understand things the same way. It’s a very singular experience for me. I also really am enjoying this brother’s story.

Acquiring Spiritual understanding for every Witness is gradual and is a continuous effort. Often the truths we find are after much prayer and personal study! Yet through our continuous personal studies in association with the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses we will eventually find ‘the truth and the truth will make you free.” Free from all the other deceptions within Satan’s world 🌎🌍🌏.

Wow, very interesting and insightful information. I appreciate the use of scriptures in exposing those who alter the intentions and meanings of the scriptures, knowingly misrepresenting the truth from the bible. I love the illustrations Eric B uses to demonstrate the need to continue following Christ as opposed to the foolishness of following man or a group of men who are on the 'wrong train'. They have indeed become more Jewish than the Jewish themselves... in complete opposition to the whole meaning of Christ's life, ministry and sacrifice. Very satisfying interview. So many great scriptural points on what it means to be a true Christian and alternatively, what it means to be in opposition... working against his purpose. Thanks so much guys!!!

The analogy of the ship is not quite correct in my view as they NEVER did have the truth. It just became more evident over time. Sad to believe that they ever taught us the truth. They never did!

Great interview. One point I want to mention: The reference in Zech 7:5 is to the same 70 years mentioned in Zech 1:12. One reference was made in the 4th year of Darius and the other in the 2nd year of Darius and they both refer to the past not the present. That’s how I understand it and I am not a Jehovah’s witness

I'm quite close to you guys, born in 1961, experiencing nothing in 1975 and around 1983 I stopped to associate JWs as I started to work in a manufacturing company after university education. In 1994 I was baptized in a Weslayan church because I came to know the genuine "truth" of the Bible -- YHWH in Psalm 103 is nothing but Jesus Christ, the Son of God, God in flesh on this earth.

I agree even in my 39 years of existence, I can say that this now isn’t the religion I was brought up in. Even it focus has changed from the bibles promise of the new world & focusing on the positive, to now really just a focus of servitude to the organisation & its leading members. Sadly they no longer even try to explain scriptures, but with all movements the start with exciting ideas & eventually run out of steam once it’s founders past one 14:43

I think many put it well when they say WatchTower "Flip flop" they don't "improve".

This is great however.. How could we actually trust in the Bible? What evidence indicate that it is indeed inspired by God. Also are the story of Adam, Eve, Moses, Abraham, Josep basically all the character from the Hebrew Scriptures. Those are great stories and truly enjoy them when I was kid, but are they really truth? What evidence are there to prove that they ever took place. My point is just as the JW alter the Bible, How many others did before them? Based on history we see what man of power did to control humanity. I have been finding the Bible very difficult to believe and would love to believe but history makes it very difficult. Eric,is it now true though that the former GB is not responsible for making those mistakes. Because when they became part of the GB the date you guys are referring was already stablish? So when thy dont say sorry because of the changes,its just right because it was not them who made it in the first place..? John 21:22,23 believers back then speculate too about John.
