Seriously though, I tried to find a fossil out of interest and I spent an hour flying around in spectator mode, looking for it in underground caves. They seem to be insanely hard to find since most are concealed by rock (and they only spawn in 2 biomes). Then Etho flies past one like "meh".

Yeah that was funny. Though arrows are useless too, as soon as you have any kind of mob farm that (also) catches skeletons you'll have more arrows that you'll ever need

motorbiker46 This might not be the case for Etho, but whenever I have to deal with raids, the village is generally on the surface. In that case the banner carrier is already inside the village.

Alex Robinson this is a great idea. Idk if you should replace the elder guardian, but you should definitely put the ravager somewhere EDIT: nvm wrote that before I saw the elder guardian was gone

@@ncoll36 Click bait and pointless videos. A lot of RU-vidrs put out a lot of videos just for the sake of getting views and making money. I get that that's the profession, and some people may enjoy it, but it gets boring very quickly. I just think about all the Minecrafter Lets Players that don't edit out footage where nothing happens or they just talk the entire time; I don't enjoy that, nor do I have time for that. I trust that I will enjoy at least 90% of every Etho video, which is why he is one of the few I subscribe to. The problem with click bait should go without saying.

It most likely wouldn't work, ravagers are weird in their leaf-breaking mechanics.There was a youtuber who was testing out a Ravager-based tree farm and found that Ravagers only break blocks if they're pushed by a player, a piston, or a minecart and so dropping them on the leaves wouldn't work

@@James_Haskell I don't think the interaction would change, in that case the Ravager is no longer being pushed by the piston and is now just 'in motion' that one would need to be tested though

I think he already found one in his world a long time ago. I believe he farms mooshrooms with the cows in the man cave. Once you find a mooshroom biome and get some mycelium and mooshrooms, the biome isn't really that interesting.

Cerugona that used to be true but I'm pretty sure it changed a while back (1-3 years ago?) unless I'm wrong youtube now uses a lossy encode to save on space; but either way I've never heard of anyone being able to get their original file back anyways, just re-rip from the yt video itself if the backup is lost

You can't really depend on that though. I've heard several stories of people downloading these files and the files having some corruption in them, which wasn't in the original upload. I guess RU-vid does not store them the same safe way they do their other stuff.

You have to do it via Google takeout and not the RU-vid, which only has reencodes.

Someone should start an "Internet Archive-like" clone of Etho's videos! We must back them up for future generations in the event of the downfall of RU-vid or Etho's channel!

Yes, if you know where to look for them. If you download your own videos through the RU-vid Studio, you'll get the "copies" RU-vid has compressed etc. But if you download the videos through the Google Takeout service, you'll get the uncompressed original video files. It at least used to be like this like a year ago. That's some Google/RU-vid logic...

@Junapelaaja; I'm assuming what you were saying still has to be done by the content creator / Channel owner though, right?, or can anyone "backup" videos from RU-vid? It would be rather to host storage as a sort of "Etho video backup" just in case of the downfall/breakup of YT/Alphabet...

Yes, they are! But the one thing that is annoying is you can't shift-click. So for example, you can't place a block on top of a hopper when standing on scaffolding.

He'd need to have it in a RAID, otherwise it could still fail like any hard drive in his computer. Sure it would probably last longer because there is less read/writes being uses if it's backup only.
