I know if villagers get scared too often from the zombie then golem spawning is also reduced. Another factor at play.

Could you clarify exactly what you mean by "see"? For instance, if Etho were to replace the glass with half slabs, would the villagers still be able to _see_ that there are iron golems nearby?

all he'd really have to do is have the villagers be at least 16 blocks from the gold farm and drop the iron golems into it. It would require more platforms and more work though. So what he has isn't too bad if you don't mind lower rates. Though I think he might need way more golems to keep up with the mobs.

I believe he previously stopped streaming because him home internet was not fast enough. I vaguely recall him saying that he did finally get an upgrade though, and with some tweaked settings you can stream at a pretty decent quality with under 1Gbps upload though he might have quality standards well above that

I stumbled into that issue as well xD. Ironically, it was in a chamber designed to protect villagers from all threats lol. I fixed it by changing the wiring to an H-shape

The problem of rates dropping due to golems not falling is not a problem as long as all of the villagers spawn the golem at the exact same tick (which is difficult). However, you can get around these mechanics and keep the rates high by making one zombie move around and scare one village at a time. This also means there is no need for a timer. Overall this is the sort of change this would have (not exact): 8 golems every 35s 1 golem every 5s

I've been watching since episode 282 was out. I caught up with everything at episode 300 of his lets play. For the first time, I realized that the dark ages of Etho (470-535) are finally giving rise to a new golden age.

Also, there was just an underlying tone that felt off to me, as the time between episodes lengthened. It's pretty subjective and isn't based on any real strong evidence, but it just felt wrong to me. Did you notice anything, or is this just me?

Actually, that is a possibility. A while ago we chose the next mega-project to be the Nexus but the other options were a redstone castle or a zoo.

DiiKoj each chamber in this farm is an individual village, this is how it spawns multiple golems

@@NotFound-bg4sr I think Diikoj is correct on this one. I have had sieges even though I have separate villages. I have a 4 village iron farm plus 6 others nearby for breeding purposes. all are separate villages but I think they still count for the 14 required for a siege

that actually reminds me. he should get one of those mice with the ball on the top. its supposed to be ergonomic and you dont have to use a mousepad or anything because it doesnt track that way. I used one for like 4 weeks I loved it. but it wasnt mine so I had to return it to my friend.

Hey, I've been around a while and have noticed a few things that may answer your questions. Usually Etho builds off camera, only recording bits for montages or transitions; with that said, he may record a lot of that and just not use it. Most of the time on camera is spent giving quick updates on his project, whether before it, in the middle of it, or at the end, and includes his progress and thoughts. I think he usually edits as he goes, probably after recording sessions. Sometimes you'll hear him talk about how long a video has gotten in the middle of it. In older episodes, he's also mentioned re-recording segments if his delivery's off. I would assume that there's still final editing at the end for sticking in montages, transitions, and/or effects. He almost always records over multiple days; that goes for most of his series, the only exception being when he's in calls with other players. You'll often hear him comment that his voice may sound a little different since its the next morning or something, and he does a ton of work off camera. Just for this episode, hundreds of days have passed in game since the last episode. I find that he usually plays and records what he feels like playing. If it's modded, he'll do that; if it's Hermitcraft, he'll do that. There's no real schedule or rotation; the only time there ever is would be when he's in a series with Team Canada or something. With that said, I know he tries to not let active series go on too long without a new episode... except BattleBane.

10,154 Minecraft days, 20 minutes each = 203,080 minutes, about 3,400 hours or 141 days. I bet his time spent in Minecraft since he started playing is well over 10,000 hours. The stats in old wolrds have gotten reset multiple times over the course of the game being updated.
