Enjoying the video Ben. On my first holiday to Germany, my first giggle was the exit in German of the motorway, Ausfart. Couldn't stop laughing. We visited northern Germany where my husband (before he met me) was based close to Bergen Belson. They would be based where the SS had their garrison during WW2. One thing I loved about German cooking was that its hearty. Great food for winter days. As you're approaching the tunnel, I noticed the sign saying Guines. Have camped there a number of times. Great camp site if anyone loves camping and caravanning. The site is in the grounds of a Manor House. Closest site to the ports if anyone's interested.

I did trafford park to Kazakhstan, loads off kids came when i was parked up they brought me stew and bread and a beer and a news papers wich was realy nice ,Then they came back the next day with buckets and washed my lights and wheels for about £7 and sweats .

Sorry but an Autohof is more like a truck stop and they aren't directly on the Autobahn unlike the motorway service stations. Also. Autohof are normally a full 24 hour service whereas the motorway services have at night only a reduced service

Ben I am guessing you run sometimes with you window down as the noise is not good at times ,the bit down to the tunnel was horrible

Those checks at German borders are for illegal immigrants coming from Ukraine. They happen at all the major border crossings with Poland and Czech Republic. Police and border patrol never stop trucks, only some passenger cars and all the busses are checked.

How do you go on about getting paid for sitting for a week? Also do you run winter tyres?

If you don’t mind me asking how does it work with spending over 45 hours in the truck

what scares me is these new tachographs ,,,even though there 1 for the card ,,,but new trucks has build in 1 ,,so you have 2 tachographs ,,,mess with 1 ,,,but not the other ,,,and the build in one can be read any computer any where in the world bye the RSA and haulage company and the police with out stopping you
