For Americans, the US government requires a paternity test to prove citizenship. So don't sign any birth certificate until paternity has been established. As far as divorce goes, if you have been tricked into marriage or she suddenly becomes a different person after you get married, you can come back to the US alone and get divorced here. Then you can have that divorce registered in the Philippines after which both you and she will be allowed to marry again even in the Philippines. As far as property and houses are concerned, you can't own the property but you can own the house outright. And you can secure a 25 year lease on the property giving you complete control. Under those circumstances she can't kick you out of the house or off the property. She could always resort to illegal remedies, but she has no legal recourse if you handle things properly. That's why it's always a great idea to have a good attorney on your side. Get a prenup and have everything you do reviewed by your attorney to protect your interests. If she really loves you, then she won't care about any of that because her interests should be aligned with your interests anyway. If she doesn't agree, then it's time to dump her regardless of whether or not she is trying to trap you.

Good info. As far as property goes, might be very hard to sleep at night if you've alienated an entire Filipino family. I'd probably rent the house out and live somewhere else undisclosed.

@@Not_A_Tourist I would tend to agree with you. My point is simply that you have control of everything, not her. You could burn the property to the ground if you wanted to, since it's yours to do with as you please. But yeah, I probably wouldn't sleep well either. I would likely rent it out. I would make sure the barangay captain is fully aware of the situation and he's seen the legal documents. If you leave it abandoned, squatters could move in and the government would not help you remove them.

@@Not_A_Tourist there is always the option of settling with her to move out calmly and quietly without fuss. Offer her an appropriate payment that you can live with. She knows that once you are gone, the property and the house will be hers. Of course, as stated earlier, even under this arrangement she could make sure you are gone much earlier than you anticipated and you just paid for that to happen. Always plan ahead before doing anything.

HPV (Human papilome virus) but you can get a vaccination in every age. Still a good idea before you start with intercourse with anybody. I don’t know what else std are not „blocked“ with condoms.

Condoms don’t always work but it’s also really hard for (some) women to get pregnant. Even normal ones are on a cycle. For most people it takes 1-3 years of “trying.” I’d get a DNA test bc while pregnancy does occasionally happen on a first hookup it’s not likely especially with a common.

interestinig video. i think it's just important for the man to be patient, if the girl is really pregnant it'll be obvous eventually and if he has any doublts that it's his baby then they can have it tested after birth, but also it's for the man to remember that she might be totally honest as well, so being sketical isn't needed as time wiill reveal all.

She might be telling the truth however a fraternity test will put you at peace of mind. Also dispose of used condoms properly getting rid of your seed. Always use condoms until you are married. I had a friend of mine in a similar situation over in Thailand, where she told him she was pregnant come to find out. I would actually tell the woman "let's get a DNA test when the babies born", and see how the woman reacts; but first I would take her to the medical clinic for a pregnancy test for verification. A doctor may even be able to use a needle to obtain a DNA sample from the baby while it's still small and developing so you can know as soon as possible. That way, you don't spend money for a child that isn't yours.
