so why not just make a bedroll/chest near the hole store your stuff jump down grab the maproom thin an commit suicide? no potions needed no gear needed no worrying about getting corruption an all the rest of it lol you made it harder then it needed to be in my eyes :D
An easy stamina-saver for extended climbing is to un-equip your armor. Just take it off, climb wherever, then put it back on... easy-peasy. Your stamina will dissipate much slower climbing in the buff and if you've made a hot character, the looking ain't bad either! LOL
All new players: once you get all obelisks around the map and you have your map room, you can teleport all around. If you find it annoying to run all the way back o your base, create a base next to an obelisk or near somewhere and this will enable you to teleport to a near by obelisk close to your base.
The easiest way to get the map room is to go to the well shown in this video... then placing a foundation piece inside the lip of the well and attach an elevator. Don't have to cling to the side or fall or anything else... then ride the elevator back up after you're done. Might want to remove both the elevator and the foundation piece afterward or the server admin might get pissed.
@@Cadom42 I wasn't doing single player when I did it. It's a server setting so maybe not on the official servers... but there are a lot of non-official servers out there and SOME of them allow it. You don't want to leave the stuff there since it would block the spawn point for the archivist, but if you're on an unofficial server, it might be worth a try. I tried it, it worked.
do you know that if you don't have "drop items on death" picked,you can go harvest until you have no room in inventory(emcumbered) and have a bed and a bedroll,you just take off your bracelet and choose "bed" (this should be your BASE) AND YOU WILL TELEPORT (MINUS 50% HEALTH) with everything you picked up..works on any place.Then if your bedroll is where you died you can take off your bracelet and choose "bedroll" and you will return to that spot..-50% health again
What if I make a small base with a bed and a chest just outside the drop point. Fall down naked, learn cartography, die, leave the naked corpse in the city?
Did this at level like 8 or so, just ran in and nothing followed me. Then I just ran back out but used the stairs on the left as you come out. Easy, no fall damage, just a train of skeletons chasing me for me a bit.
You can run into the archives at 30 through the front door.. Once you are inside everything forgets you are there, grab obelisk on the way. Just don't stop running and you should not die. its easy.
Excellent video! If I may, I’d like to suggest attuning to the obelisk that is just outside the run to the cartographer. You might need to take out a couple skeletons but I’m not positive that you need to take any out.
Wow that's way better than my fast travel (where I just take off all my armor and let something kill me to go back and forth between my bed and bed roll which only allows quick travel between 2 places XD my character would rather die than walk 😂)
So honestly it's by far easier to just run in past everybody and get it then go to meet conan in the other city next door and lose the corruption from the dancers lol

You can speed run into and out of the map room area as soon as level 10, provided you are useing the Stam glitch, or level 20 without the Stam glitch. Works on all official servers, PC, PS4, XBOX1. It takes a bit of practice but it's well worth it.
No real reason to get that early other than personal achievement but it's nice to have, especially when playing solo on official and looking for clans to join.
This is the only CE guide that I know of that makes it look more difficult than it actually was. Normally it's the other way around, guide makers are experienced players who can't always account for all the ways innovative noobs like myself manage to fail. But this one was literally a walk in a park. I didnt change my build and I was 89% encumbered with all sorts of loot, although my character did have 2 traits in Grit and 3 and some in vitality. In short, I just jumped in, landed on the platform right next to the ghost buddy, lost like a bit more than half health, ate some cooked meat (couldn't be bothered to bring any other healing), talked to the ghost buddy, then waltzed out the way you showed except also touched the obelisk on the way out. When I was trying to climb the wall a skeleton started to be a nuisance but this is where my pal Lian the Thrall came into play and solved the problem with violence, this is the only fight I had. Climb was easy even encumbered because there's a platform you can rest on. And that's it. Easiest thing I've done in CE so far, thanks to your guide. Now black ice run, that was entirely different matter... I'm still having nightmares
I got the map room at level 15. Not sure why you'd need to be very high if you just sprint in and out. I took some archery dmg but with bandages it was ok.
Are you telling me that I can't fast travel until level 40??? GODDAM PLAYSTATION PLUS! I wouldn't even know about the frustration of this game if it wasn't "free". That being said, pretty good game
Fire, you should do a tutorial on the fastest demonblood farm, the barrow king is really easy and if you use the harvester build you'll get nearly 200 demon blood when you use an axe! :D
Problem is I can't find anything that spawns thick and gives consistent demon blood. There are things that always give it and they have low spawn rate. Then there are things that sometimes give it and they spawn like crazy.
FireSpark81 I don't know why know one knows this but the easiest way to get demon blood is simple I'll share this secret and u go and try it and tell me what u think. First get ur best butcher knife steal is fine add tool upgrade ok then go to volcano in there they have lil king rockknose easy kill butcher and watch it fill up average 30 to 60 blood per guy have fun guys
You could do that, also some server settings allows you to respawn with your gear... In fact I usually do this, use map to get close to where I want to go, do what I want to do (often have a mini-base with a campfire, a wheel of pain, etc in the area), then remove bracelet to get back to the main base..
Can you fast travel with your follower. like if I have thrall or mount with me and I want to use fast travel, do they teleport with me? (When it on follow)
You guys didn't listen to the video very carefully, did you? He specifically said that it's the mats to make the map that is why he's recommending that you be at a higher level before trying to make one.
i know this is super old, so is the map room just a 1-way teleport? I mean that's useful and all I guess but for what it costs I still have to run all the way back... or change server settings to not lose items on death to go back to bedroll if my base is on the other side of the map? Yeesh that seems horrible.
if you can't make your way through a couple of skelentons without fall apart and having to run around in a mad rush then should you really bother learning the map room? considering you need 100 demon blood which would be harder to get than killing a couple of skelentons. Also the locations that are worth teleporting too ( Volcano and Frost Temple ) are high level and worse to run around than the unamed city? Ive set up a map room as close to the obelisks as possible to teleport from one to another making jourmeys for black ice and obsidian painless.
That's the point I've been trying to make to all these people who are like I did it at 10 or I did it at 15. It's pointless. If you can't fight your way in then don't bother getting it. I just show getting it the way I did because fighting your way in seems like a waste of time when you can fall in run out. Then spend that time you saved grinding for demon blood and the other crap you need to make it.
NeonAstral you can still collect and smelt gold, it allcomes whether you're a noob or not. I usually have my first map room when grinder comes available and thats around level 17-20. If you know what you're doing then its not a problem.
Oh yeah buddy? Ok why wont you make video to show how easy it is to get a map room by lvl 17. Would be nice. As far as I know you need 150 silver bars and 75 gold bars to turn them into dust, then you need 200 Demon blood for 200 Corrupted stone. Thats after getting the blue print by falling through the well opening and having enough agi not to die and run back, unless you just run through the city getting maximum corruption. Why wont you make a tutorial buddy you sounds like a pro, it would be a great video for you it would get thousands of views and help everyone out hmmmm?? P.s Btw must be done COMPLETELY solo and you MUST have all these ingredients *before you turn 17* or you are full of shit, Without any clan helping you what so ever and you cant over level, absolutely must have ALL the engridients and map room by 17(like you said). NeonAstral dude it's not hard to run and avoid everything. Most melee enemies can't even hit you if you jog in a straight line. It's ranged enemies that you may have a problem with but just avoid them or sprint past. The AI in this game is already pretty shit. And i never said you could craft it at 10 i meant you could get the schematic at 10 and I agree with the other guy it's pretty easy once you have a grinder yo make it
so you go to the unamed city at level 10 with no intention to ever return? some content your missing if your planning to run in and out as quickly as you can and never return
its just that its on my routine to go fast to lvl 60, i go west first so i take it when i am quite low in lvl. I said lvl 10 just for saying that lvl doesnt matter because u just have to run
First of all, you coulda just walked in, don’t have to jump in the whole. And secondly you don’t need double jump to keep stamina, you can just look behind yourself as you run and your stamina refills. You can also take your Armor off to decrease stamina loss while climbing.
Had the same issue when I started a new character and was running around discovering locations for levelling sometimes he spawns and sometimes he doesn't. A few ways to fix it is first if you are admin you could just spawn the Archivist at The Archives. Another method is to go through sort of a "story quest" where you fight the boss in The Dregs which will drop the Staff of Triumvirate where in it's description will hint you towards going to The Tower of Bats. Fight the Albino Bat there for it's blood then put the staff and Albino Bat Demon Blood at the Altar just behind where the Albino bat was in which will craft the Awakened Staff of Triumvirate. The Awakened Staff will then be placeable like any other structures in which you can "talk" to it and it will tell you to go to The Archives to meet The Archivist about removing your bracelet thus allowing you to get the map room recipe.
Just go through the front door... lol theres nothing difficult about it at all there little to no resistence and it doesnt involve you fking your level ups hahaha this is like... wtf theres a front door why even tell people to do this if you can just walk through the entrance hahaha
for most of his vids he is in admin mode. this enables him to make a tutorial without having to take multiple takes. it's far more efficient that way and you can get more useful tutorials out in the same amount of time this way. it's not like he's showing world first achievements or anything.
You didnt tell us everything that we need to know about fast traveling. You missed a few important details such as what happens to any buffs? what happens if I have a thrall following me? how do I get back home? Does my current health, food or water change after I faster travel? Wheres the tests? Smh. You dont need to be a high lvl or even put all your points into stam and heath, your normal walking speed is fast enough to outrun almost anything in the game. Double smh.
@@courierz9451 yes its not worth the effort for a 1 way teleport. stupid would be doing all that for pretty much no benefit. also the game got boring after a month so lol.
You won't due from the fall if you spec as shown. Even if you just fall off the side into the deepest part of the map. You can fall stupid far with that build.
