I believe the D-Tuna gives you the ability to 'drop the tuning' to D on the fly - on the FR - successfully...if you're looking for that, premium feature.
That's an excellent deal Joe. I just got the Evh Wolfgang special last Thursday which I paid $175 more for. The R3 has a wider fret board then what mine is, R2. The D tuna tunes the low E to a D with a flick of it for drop d tuning. This guitar has the kill switch, mine does not. I just don't feel comfortable ordering from said place, or I'd jump on it. Great video Joe.
Thanks Mitch. Hope you are enjoying your Wolfgang! Did you have a bad experience with Adorama? I find them to be very reputable and great to deal with. Just curious.
When you surf into Adorama the discount is not there, only when you click Joe's link. Weird. Just got a new CV 50s strat otherwise I'd be temped but that is still a hella deal. Cheers!
Crazy how expensive guitars are becoming, even 700 seems like a lot. Mind you I don't knows why it cost as much as it does. Wonder what a used one would go for. A lot these might seem like deals, because of such a markup up in its pricing, in reality its what people are willing to pay for them. Is this made in China? Nuts if those prices. Made in mexico by fender apparently. Reverb has sales history on this guitar, guess it goes on sale often or sells used as these prices.
