hi i have the older version of this motor (4G63T) in my 1996 Mitsubishi Chariot GT resort gear. ( i think in usa it is called a talon or something) and i want to put bigger turbo, can i literally just 'bolt-on' a bigger turbo and thats it? or are there some other changes to make? cheers. its so funny how the white writing on tyres came back into fashion. I've always liked it, but I feel like it only came back into style recently. Why did it come back? Was it lightning Mcqueen in cars with his Lightyear tyres?
It's to help weight distribution. Exhaust side of a turbo engine is heavier than intake side. By putting it at the back of the bay the weight distribution gets a little closer to 50/50. It's the reason some cars, porsche lambo and ferrari I think, have their brake calipers located closest to to center of the body as possible.
