Awesome. Hopefully the future holds Asobo modeling wear and tear on the aircraft over time and walk arounds would be required as in real life.

In 2011 Airbus began to offer its version of winglets, called Sharklets. Aviation Partners would sue Airbus, claiming that they used experiments with the original blended winglet design to come up with its model. In the end, Airbus lost the lawsuit and paid out an undisclosed sum to Aviation Partners. Thus the name Sharklet was born. While many will interchange the term with winglet, the fact remains airbus has coined them Sharklets

Whats the most serious issues you've found on your years of walk arounds Capt?

Bird strikes, hydraulic leaks, gouged tires, missing panels just to name a few. I did however have a friend who was on a different aircraft and noticed an issue with the rudder, they took it apart and determined if he didn’t catch it they would of had a catastrophic rudder failure in flight. So IRL walk arounds are very crucial to having a safe operation

Depends how cold it is outside 😉 not much longer than 5 minutes on average I’d say

Would really love if MSFS or xplane, or really any sim gave us a reason to do this, such as potential random damage on spawn that we'd see.

Agree. Like maybe a bird strike or damaged part or flat tire etc. closes thing to that is SimCoders for Xplane. Those you do need to do a walk around but they are all GA aircraft

What does the RVSM critical area do?

Good question, in short the RVSM critical area is a small section on the aircraft that is required to be kept clean, no dents, or damage or the like, to ensure the reduced vertical separation requirements are kept within limits when operating at high Flight Levels.
