Artosis' professional facade slips as he's faced with the utter hubris of a protoss barcode ape coinflip at 2700 against Flash of all people, honestly understandable
He could have used an ounce of strategy by recalling into Flash's base and then clown the GOAT by using stasis at the chokepoint behind Flash's natural to block off reinforcements, but instead loses over 50 supply in 10 seconds by a-moving into mines & siege tank lines. They need to have a separate Special ASL for protoss with a golden helmet as the grand prize.
Toss has analyzed Flash’s game and knows that at the 15 minute mark in about 70% of games he likes to get up and brew a latte. Good meta call and impeccable timing to attack then, just bad luck that this was one of the 30%.
Flash: My main effort is siege tanks, therefore I'm going to slowly push my tanks into a sieged position with overlapping arcs of fire. My faster moving vultures will lay mines well in front of this siege line, creating an obstacle laden killzone, ensuring my most powerful splash damage units are supporting each other and efficiently punishing any enemy troop movements. Supporting this with Goliaths will tax my opponents micro by forcing him to keep careful control of his observers, buying me time to finish my upgrades and factories, therefore putting me in an advantageous position, should my opponent attack. Toss: Alright times up lets do this LEEROOOOOY JENKINSSS!
Yeah the cursing does happen occasionally. I vaguely remember some trash talk, but I might have confused that with an ASL cast. I'm not a fan of his stream persona, it's going to be difficult to recommend the channel to other people if this goes on.
There was another one. A TvZ where the Z player just throw away Zerglings to attack the incoming Marine Medics. Artosis was totally and rightfully in shock at how awful that play was, especially in a tournament level
I believe that attack onto such a heavily sieged up tank line got instantly punished and fake JangBi will remember the sting of that mistake for a very long time. If he wanted to scout anything, a single zealot would've done the job just fine, and clear out some mines in the process as a bonus. FLASHCASTS BESTCASTS!!!
I love the honesty from Artosis's cast. There was no attempt to try to keep the tension up about it still being a super close game. Just pure honesty and disdain towards the mistakes.
2700 Protoss: => Spend 600+ minerals & 600+ gas building, researching, and producing arbiters. => Spends all that effort to stasis 3 tanks. => A-Move entire Gateway Army into a tank spread. =>GG. => TESAGI TESAGI TESAGI!
I mean Arty was right all along when the toss was so stupid as to attempt a second run by. Maybe that toss is a super clean macro/micro player but his strategic thinking is non existent.
I have to believe that this game was specifically orchestrated between Flash and the protoss player for the sole purpose of raising Arty's blood pressure.
Thats the first time I have heard Arty get angry on a professional cast on this channel. Damn. He was PISSED! In the last 2 years of listening to casts on this main casting channel, this is the first time I have heard him curse.
Anyone else run it back to get the F-Bomb count? Almost thought I slipped into an SC2 cast at the end. With the salty intro for Fake JangBi, we should have seen this coming. I like the old school forward rax simcity with CC as part of wall before bunker & tank.
some of these flash games you casted, it feels like flash is just not interested in a quick win, but instead wants to play the game out, even if he had a good push timing
Guys, you don't understand, Jangbi had been reading the works of Alfred Lord Tennyson and he was inspired to re-enact the Charge of the Light Brigade here.
I said in the previous video that Flash was testing the limits of Upgrade Terran to try to break the meta and not just shake off his ring rust, and how his build wasn't fully optimized yet to win without player diff. This game right after the last one proves that he truly is called The Ultimate Weapon for a reason. Man requeued, immediately adjusted the build to have one more fact early to counter the inevitable Toss attack, and snapped his opponent like a twig even before ikmyeonggosu aped out and a-moved. The A-Move attack is honestly just IKMG cracking under the pressure of 'oh shit it's FUCKING FLASH and he has me dead!!', I think. The inevitable ending to getting roundly outclassed by the best player of all time. I'm SO excited to see Flash in ASL again, he's gonna blow things UP.
Bold move to take the ID "JangBi" and then make plays like that. Not quite an appropriate homage to one of the greatest (my favourite) protoss players of all time.
