What about people wanting to register under Part 107 for the first time? I was almost done with my online training course when all of this happened. Does that mean I'm just out of luck until a testing center opens up?
@@IkoptaUk I did some digging. Some centers are actually opening up for limited seating, some as early as today, but others may be for July or later. More time to study up! 😅

No official.. but the advice for "essential " journeys, stay at home etc supersede anything else. There are some airspace restrictions, notams etc due to increased air-ambulance flights so always check if you do need to fly..

Airline pilots need also regulary check ups and they can not do their tests and get their medical certificates too ... but luckily no planes flying here except cargo. And demand for pilots has crushed cause a lot of airplanes will never ever get back in the air like A380 - that were called - in analogy to subs and cruiseship (floating coffins) - flying coffins cause no one can escape if they had left ground like subs under water or cruise ships at the coast - outside the harbor. Lufthansa has grounded 95% of its fleet and the passenger planes still in the air are used as cargo planes for / to / from china ... cause cargo demand is damn high after the grounding of the passenger fleet and the lost of their cargovolume ... But life is slowly coming back to normal here even tough with a lot of discussion but the population agrees to stronger counter measures now then opening the gates and fighting a 2nd wave if things go wrong. the car plants are running the second week and shall be back to full volume in 3 weeks. Only international tourisms is completely dead and will be dead a lot longer for sure .... and of cause any kind of events from culture like concerts or theater to sport or any kind of fair and exhibition, but zoos have already open, but no kindergardens. But things come back alive like hairdresser and so on and restaurants and hotels will follow somewhere around mid of may until things turn worse again - that all hope to avoid but did not even work in senior residences that had by the highest death toll to pay due to bad behaviour by the care personal that had ignored the rules ... But I am not affected by US fighting against the dark scary dangerous might of drones so far, but may be the US government needs a glass to put things in persepective how many had been killed by a drone compared to guns ..... cause buying and using a gun is a lot easier and needs close to none certificate compared to flying a drone. I am not affected as long as the fucking US regulations do not become the quasi or de facto standard for other countries drone regulations like if the US could do it then we can do it too. This will be the real nightmare and would end in a pilots licence similiar to that of a car driver that has become 3 times as expensice then in 1985 and needs a lot more driving lessons / hours to get it than nowadays: 10 or 12 back then and 30 and more right now, while traffic, car safety and so on have improved a lot.
Thats right Ray.. and I think test centres are working a way to open as soon as they can.. but as most businesses are finding.. social distancing slows the pace and adds to cost.. never a good mix for the consumer.
