As a massage therapist of 30 years I am so grateful for this video and all Dr. Bri’s videos. I work SCM and masseters quite a bit for TMJ but had no idea they could help pelvic floor issues. Cranial Sacral work I do led me to want to help pelvic floor issues but I really had so much to learn regarding how vital these muscles are to well being. Thanks so very much for all your excellent videos, I recommend them often to patients who I feel can benefit in this aspect.

They can be similar, and are often hard to distinguish. I recommend seeing a local pelvic floor PT to help you with your tight pelvic floor and prolapse. In the meantime, you can check our Lift program and focus on the first week , which is focused on relaxing the pelvic floor ~Leila from Vibrant Support

Great video, thank you 🙏🏽 Question, is there a video on how our pelvic floor should be held during normal day to day activities?
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Год назад
This video explains "zipping up" for those times when you need a little extra core activation: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h5VzNHSY4DM.html ...BUT... Don't zip up all day long! Lots of people ask me if they should keep their pelvic floor and core tight all day. The answer is NO! It is important to keep your pelvic floor and the rest of your core supple, resilient, and reactive (like a trampoline) but you should not clench or grip during normal day-to-day activities. You should be able to breathe and move normally. You should NOT suck in your stomach and hold your breath all day long. The "zipping up" that I show in this video is for when you need to activate your core a little EXTRA... when you're pushing, pulling, lifting, balancing, or doing core exercises. Otherwise, just keep moving every day, breathing well, and maintaining good posture/alignment and your core should be at the perfect level of tension!

Getting a mental awareness of that area of the jaw along the ear is a real game-changer! Adds this new dimension to my body-mind and wow that it's first to develop! Fascia-like stocking they say is more uninterrupted than a fish-net so more like a nylon stocking, but maybe that made you feel stifled and your mind thought "fish-net!" lol. Sometimes it's best to even just think of it as a magical substance. So grateful for your channel :)

Response to the body, mind and spirit connection comes in as many forms as they do. There are universal responses, but it’s worth walking new paths to find our personal wellness needs which can change over time. Knowing as many ways as possible to meet ourselves where we’re at keeps us flexible as our needs change. The journey of our body is about every part of us and about the whole. It may seem strange to approach it from the feet when the problem is higher up or start from the head when the problem is lower, but either might help you meet yourself where you’re at and get closer to the middle. I love the holistic approach this channel is helping us to explore and the charming conversational energy. If this were a podcast I’d listen to it for sure.

Can weak or tensed pelvic muscles caused reflux?
@vibrantpelvichealth
@vibrantpelvichealth Год назад
It's possible that there could be a connection, yes. The pelvic floor and the breathing diaphragm are connected via fascia, and researchers have determined that diaphragmatic breathing may have the potential to be an effective treatment for certain patients with GERD (reflux). Weak or tense pelvic muscles often cause DIFFICULTY with diaphragmatic breathing. Watch this video to learn good breathing strategies that impact the breathing diaphragm and pelvic floor in a positive way: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-O9QHcDMG6E8.html ...It can help even if you don't have prolapse (this video is good for EVERYONE, all genders).
