PREDA KING no team has ever came back down 3-1 in the finals. EVER We are talking about championship highest level play not regular season or playoffs. Yes teams have came back before from 3-1(not many) yes teams have come back from 25(not many) but where talking the highest level.

dee 11 hee 22 Cleveland came back from 3-1 in the Finals to end their drought. The Cubs came back from 3-1 in the World Series to end the longest drought in sports. Are those not the highest level? As I said, we've seen that before. That epic collapse in a Super Bowl, has NEVER happened.

PREDA KING comprehension is key in my statement where I clearly say FINALS. To completely beat the same group of guys 3 times in a row in a series of basketball games , when that team can go home sleep, practice make adjustments in 3 games is unheard of. This means that the warriors had not only 3 games to get it right but they had 3 practices and still could not figure it out. The reason why this is tougher than baseball and why I made that point is because in baseball you are constantly facing a different pitcher so there is a built in excuse on why you can't. figure it out because its a different guy every game. But for the warriors have all that time to get it done and figure it out against the same group of guys there is no excuse for that. To many times to right there wrongs and they could not beat lebron.

Chris Carter and the Minnesota Viking Choked against the Atlanta Falcons back in 1998 NFC Championship game so he knows the feeling and this is sensitive to him LOL

Warriors lost Draymond and lost momentum and its 1-1 in the finals, Falcons lead all game and lost in the last 8min, 31 unanswered points. Falcons loss way worse

Not to mention the rim protector (Bogut) got injured as well as Igoudala being banged up. He might have finished stronger on the LeBron block play had he been able to jump normally.

The Warriors collapsed, but the Falcons choked. KD choked in game 6. The Warriors due to injuries and suspensions just fell apart as a team, and the Cavs capitalized. The Falcons had a 3rd and 1 while up 28-12, chose to pass, and New England got a fumble recovery Next time, biggest choke of all: The Falcons had the ball on the 23 yard line on 2nd 11 with like 4 minutes left. They then got sacked for 18 yards. Ok 41 yard line, a reasonable field goal. Just run the ball for 5 yards, and they are good. No, they pass and get a holding forcing 4th and 39. Choke if I've seen one.

Look at it like this, the Warriors had a 3-1 lead true enough. In basketball the switch is reset every game. It's allot harder to hold off a team when they come back fresh the next game. The Falcons only had to hold on for 1 more quarter.

Super Bowl 51 was similar to the 2006 AFC Championship game in Indianapolis; Patriots vs Colts, Brady vs Manning. The Patriots were up 21-6 at the half. However, two of the Patriots first half touchdowns were scored by NE's defense on turnovers. One was a fumble recovery in the end zone and the other was a pick-6. As such even though the Colts were way behind on the scoreboard at the half they were ahead in time of possession. What happened to the Patriots in the second half back in 2006 was similar to what happened to the Falcons. The Patriots defense got worn down while the Colts defense was relatively fresh. The Colts and Manning scored 32 second half points and came back and won the game 38-34.

Atlanta did the opposite of choke they relaxed. Choke is when the pressure gets to you. Relaxing is when you don't get how much peril you are actually in.

Good point by Whitlock (he rarely makes them) about the time outs wasted. You never see Belichick waste time outs. Ryans headset broke and he calls time out, WHY? He can't run the offense at that point? They waste a timeout challenging Edelman's catch when it was clear he caught the ball. If they had a timeout they don't have to spike the ball in the final drive and could have got in FG range but they ran out of time instead. Just like Seattle in XLIX one more time out and all that pressure is off.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, prior to Super Bowl LI teams leading by 25 or more points at any time in any NFL game were 2,545-4-2 in the regular season and 102-2 in the postseason. Add it up and only six times in 2,655 games, or 0.2 percent of the time, has a team come back from a 25-point deficit to win a game. That is one of worst defeats in NFL HISTORY!!!

whitlock is a fool....the nba playoffs is not just one game...a lot can happen in a 7 game series...the falcons needed to just make one play....up by 20 plus points??? and they choked it off....they choked...the warriors had to worry about a suspended player etc...the falcons choke was the biggest in sports history.

I think the Falcons meltdown was worse. Yes, the Warriors had record regular season, but there was not such a great talent disparity between them and the Cavs. Andrew Bogut was injured in game 5, and may have been the turning point. The Cavs did win big in games 5 and 6, but the games in the series were not close. The Warriors had a chance to win it up until the final moments of game 7. On the other hand, once the Falcons punted after their ill-fated drive, even though the Patriots were still down 8 and had 90 yards to go, given Brady's history, there was a sense that Falcons had no chance to win.

Dude said ATL defense played well...did he watch the game? NE had the ball 20 minutes in the first half, they were moving it the entire game. Once the turnovers were eliminated, ATL couldn't stop NE and Brady. Pretty sure I saw over 500 yards in offense from NE. What sort of low and delusional standard do you have to call that good defense?

SitDown Clowns They were partly the reason why ATL was up 28-3. They recovered a fumble in NE territory and got a pick 6. They are a bend don't break Defense, which means that they need some rest, and the offense need to keep scoring

I stopped watching after he said "LeBron vanquished them". Why does nobody give Kyrie credit? Everyone talks about LeBron like he does it all on his own. If he could do it on his own he wouldn't have went to Miami because he would've won it in Cleveland a decade ago.

Jonathan Cohoon Lebron lead them to that championship. Literally. Dude lead both teams in points, assists, rebounds, blocks AND steals. Kyrie definitely balled but he had only one really standout game, game 5. Lebron had standout games in game 5, 6, and 7.

The NBA Finals was way closer than people like to remember. Dubs lost in the final min after enduring injuries to 2/5 Starters plus the 6th man, Bad refs and Draymonds fraudulent suspension. The Falcons were at full strength and choked it up!

People do throw around that word choke to much, I don't think the Falcons necessarily choked I think they got to comfortable and forgot they were playing Tom Brady I don't think LeBron choked in 2011 finals, even tho his numbers weren't the best they were like that the whole series, same as Curry, his numbers were pretty much the same the whole series

Warriors is worse. They had multiple days to make adjustments, Falcons simply lost momentum and did not have experience in late game situations. Warriors only lost Draymond, while Cleveland lost Love and Irving. Warriors had a better team that year and just choked. When you have Curry and Thompson and a great supporting bench, you should win. ESPECIALLY THE 73-9 WARRIORS

The white folks team owners wanted to insure that somebody white wins this historic Super Bowl, i.e., perfect white guy to be anointed The Greatest. Two years ago Pete Carroll was compliant in sabotaging his own team just so Marshawn Lynch would not be a a champion because they did not like Lynch's way of doing things and self expression style and it was at the expense of the "nice" black guy, Russell Wilson. This time it was against a team representing a majority black Southern city and Tom Brady and the NFL, its owners and the top cats of the all white NFL mountain rigged the game again. That collapse was too coincidental.
