[shameless plug :D ] If you like realistic and detailed builds (with lore/story) feel free to check out my channel ^^ Hopefully you won't be disappointed :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h1JwaalWV80.html&
DACHI , DACHI I personally think Dave the evil viking's settlements are more detailed and realistic(you should check him out if you havent), but I like how Davey does more videos and tutorials for his stand alone structures and setpieces for his settlement in his videos and how the less use of mods makes his builds more creative
Davey just does his own thing man. He does not care what anyone else is really doing. Its kinda like it or leave it. The thing is Evil uses a pc which is capable of using a lot of different mods, Davey is on a mere ps4 console.. Apples n oranges . Not even fair to compare. Both are damn good at what they do.
Wow, watched Looney Toons for years, and did a comprehensive report on Of Mice and Men in both middle and high school. Only just now put together that Looney Toons had a repeating gag that alludes to the book.
Dunno if anyone's ever mentioned it, but there's a mod that provides hunting/fishing food station resources which would fit well on your wee fishing area. Great work as ever.
For the water purifiers, what I did was put an elevator against the outside of the wall with a bunch of scaffolding 'supporting' it to get down to the water. I also put a power switch at the top so it couldn't be used by raiders to get in
Well isn't this just quaint. And grand. And yet another video that makes me want to throw 37 consecutive hours into Fallout building. Looking killer around these parts, Davey. Shaping up nicely.
don't know if you will see this but you could build a chemical addicts shack round an isolated back wall and you could potentially use some things you may have not used before. P.s keep up the good work
use place anywhere and extend settlements so you can have more choices. the extend settlements doesn't make it ridiculously large so it will just give you that extra space.
Just for justification for how close to the shore the shack is, as long as you cam cast well, yippy cam catch pretty good sized fish from shore. looks awesome. I love seeing your builds
i did a bus motel at Taffington Boathouse on my channel like 2 weeks ago, very similar, but still very different. works very well. I'm enjoying this build Davey.
I have a suggestion... Glitch a pipe in the hill coming from poop shack... Talking from a RP perspective I think a resident would have taken the time to dig a trench and lay a pipe from the poop shack to the coast.... Maybe put a water pump next to the shack to emphasize there is running water for residents to pump water for their hands and to wash solids down the pipe and out to the coast......
Well done, it's true we rarely have toilets or a place to put the poo. Here is the States the problem is poo is everywhere, indeed, it is overflowing in DC.
there is a mod that is called "gone hunting/fishing". with it you can place fishing chairs and you can assign settlers to it. they will give you food. the chairs use no fishing animation but they use a newspaper reading animation. 😃
Toilets! Fucking finally! That lady who tests all your chairs needs somewhere too poop Davey. But, is this the only toilet in Boston? If someone needs to poop at Sanctuary do they need to make a two day trek across the Commonwealth? You need to branch out your toilet franchise.
Can you find a place to make a Frank Horrigan build, make it a some sort of warning to other settlers about a legend called Frank Horrigan and horrors he was able to unleash. Seems fun and gritty.
I saw your Child of Atom shrine and loved it. Have you considered doing a player home for an Inquisitor? Also, Dogs not Brahmin is a mod i cannot live without. No more Brahmin getting stuck on my decorations!! Castle is looking wonderful!
You can rug-glitch an airplane seat into the bus seat in such a way that you can sit in it. It's a bit buggy camera wise, and the arms poke up and out (and you might need to keep the rug there, but you have those fancy invisible ones so it's kool). Would add a bit extra to your settlement as it's more immersive.
I know he's already put down that generator, but I really wish he opted for windmills. I feel like they could make the outline of the castle look that much cooler.
There is a mod that increases build area, borders extended or something. Idk if it's for PS4 tho because my fallout is on Xbox. Also there is a bod called "the master plan" which has tons of mods combined, one is called port royal and you can put in the entire uss constitution and if its for PS4 you need to do a vid in decorating boats
Hey Davie, I was wondering if you ever wanted to do any critique videos on people's settlements. Like they send in a video of their settlement and you give some constructive criticism. I think it would show some ideas from others and help them with their builds. What do you think? PS: Nice build man :)
Hi mate was wondering if you could help me out I'm having trouble with workshop decorating pack mod I news USO and UCO and this is where I'm having a problem every time I try using workshops decorater my chest armour changes bk to normal colour. Could you tell me where it should be in load order or if they may be other mod I could use to do same thing thanks
I do not want you to find this offensive, but I feel you are not using Place Everywhere because you want to have an excuse if some of your stuff turns out below your expectations. The glitches are just a waste of time and constrict your imagination. You do not need to be afraid of stuff dude, you are number one, let your imagination run wild. OT another sick cozy build, love it and keep up the good work.
I don't find it offensive - but you are very clearly *trying* to find a reason for why I don't use it other than my reasons given. It does not and never has made anyone's builds more creative. The people singing its praises have just gotten used to it and now are incapable of *not* using it. That is all. Trust me, I've seen the builds. I find it weird that people are trying to invent reasons and conspiracy as to why I'm not using it. I'm not using because people got really nasty and petulant when I didn't use it start using it straight away. So now I'm not using it, half because it really doesn't make anything better and half, because I'll be damned if I cave to whiny people not getting their own way. I am quite literally indifferent to the mod itself. However, I can't stand the people who won't stop talking about the damn thing.
Fair point, I just do not see it as a limiting factor, it is just convinience and it speeds up the process. And I am not trying to invent a reason for you not using it, because there is a reason, either you want to be different on purpose or something else on psychological level. But this is Internet and I will get hate for being forward with you. I really like your builds, and I wish you keep doing them on the same quality or better as this. If you feel the mod would ruin your builds do not use it, I just look at you making stuff without as this: you gotta haul your furniture from 1 house to another, but you would rather use a car instead of a truck. Maybe it is just my weird observation. Respect bro, stay classy.
I know this was 8 months ago and I'm a little late to the party - but this video does have a clear example of Davey being more creative due to not using place anywhere, he was unable to glitch a post into the shack and had to come up with a new idea. With place anywhere it saves you to trouble of having to work round these problems and is less creative. Personally I like to use place anywhere as it saves time and is a really convenient solution to some placement problems, but with that being said I'm not producing builds of this quality. On another note, I think the people in of mice and men were called itinerant workers.
You seem to have an endless amount of build capacity (Bar top right) is this a mod to allow you to build an unlimited amount or?????? PS: I watch all your vids, love your builds and your voice isn't annoying like other Fall out 4 RU-vidrs lmao
Nicholas Pope drop everything you have in your inventory on the ground, go into workshop and click store, NOT SCRAP, then get your items from the workshop inventory, and your budget is increased
Genuinely concerned as to how far over the original build limit you have gone. 3 or 4 x's is about all the castle can handle on a ps4, not much more on a ps4 pro tbh. Do NOT get any more settlers there. Use this character strictly for building. Do not try to complete any missions that entail defending the castle or anything like it. The game WILL dump..
I had a lot of clutter. Comics, drugs, booze bottles, toothbrushes, watches, toiletries and other such personal knicknacks, and shit all over the place. I made it look truly lived in and using ocdecorator I went ham with it. It ate up a lot of the size bar in doing so. I think the high poly little stuff makes a huge difference. I would use freemaker and make like 50 gamma guns at a time, drop them one by one and then store them to drop the bar to zero. Time consuming but effective. It was just too much for my ps4.
