Tristan Sullivan Ik this game had potential if they made simple changes like if you could build anywhereAnd there weren’t restrictions on how much stuff she can build
@@DrunkBiden yeah i still see a lot of potential in 76 i mean its still not even pay to win 100% able to get everything even the premium currency (atoms) are stupid easy to get without ever paying more than the base game cost but i needs a lot of work
I think at this point in its life span Fallout 76 turned out to be a pretty fun game. It’s a shame that all the bugs and controversy killed a lot of its potential early on.
Apparently it was riddled with bugs, crashes and performance issues, when it launched. My brother and I started playing it 3 days ago and he had 2 game breaking bugs right after character creation. He even had to delete his entire character, because he couldn't leave his room. And when we finally met in front of the vault, his character looked nothing like it should. While scrolling through shop items, his game got stuck for like 30 seconds. He plays on PS4 and I play on PS5. Now this was an awful first impression and he stopped playing. I have to say, I didn't encounter any bugs. For me, the game feels exactly how Todd tried to frame it in this presentation and I'm actually falling in love with it. I guess the experience can vary to a great degree. As I didn't encounter bugs and have a smooth 60fps on my PS5, the game felt great. If I had to delete my character after molding his face for an hour, just like my brother had to do, I'd probably not be able to forgive the game either.
I played this game at launch and immediately put it down. Just finished watching the amazing Fallout show last week and was really wanting to play some Fallout. I’ve played all the games so many times I couldn’t get any enjoyment out of them anymore so I said what the hell and I tried FO76 again, the game is actually really good now. It is to Fallout 4 what New Vegas was to Fallout 3, and then some. Even if you don’t like online stuff you could just play it solo as a spin-off to FO4.
@@YesMan-dc8yk he said that they used graphics no one had seen before. State of the art or something. And he was correct, I've never seen so much pixelation and flickering graphics in any game I have ever played
Yall are litterly not very smart at all and have no idea and are still in pre school and have no idea even how to program or code or anything about fallout 1/2/3/4/76 or America its self!
True but wtf is taking so long for the next fallout?? They blame getting rushed for shortcomings but that is a bs excuse. They should have some strength to make a good game or atleast UPDATE it. Kinda lazy
@@jimbeamed5076 They are working onThe Elder Scrolls 6 first before the next Fallout. If I remember correctly, they confirmed that in a video at some point.
Any players that stuck around really appreciate the game. The map is large and dense, the gameplay feels like Fallout, and the Multiplayer is better than any other MMO conversion of a singleplayer game I've played. They overplayed their hand but they still had a winner when the river hit.
Dude I just got into it with my younger brother and it’s sick now. Glad I gave it another chance. I’m a huge Destiny player and it’s been stealing me away as I’ve only been playing less than a week and I’m already in endgame. I love Fallout and I love MMOs. I’ll take it.
In August of 2023, this is prolly one of the best games on the market right now, but kept in the shadows because of it's bad launch. I pitty everyone that wont play it because of rumours they've heard.
"It's that each of those characters, is a real person..." Everyone clapping be thinking "Finally, I can be a dickhole to people in Bethesda games. Get to bring that MMO toxicity to single player games wooo!"
Really enjoying my time in the West Virginia mountains. 76 keeps bringing me back, I’m playing solo but having others around me in the world is a nice little touch. Played with a buddy years ago and I hated how barren the world felt. Now realising that is exactly how it was designed. You are reclaiming that wasteland. There are no other settlers or survivors and you are piecing together a story from paper trails left by the overseer. I really did not appreciate for what it was at the time, although. The wastelanders update is much appreciated and it feels like a traditional fallout game in a sense. Now I just need to get my buddy playing with me again 😢
This game had a rough launch, obviously, but it's definitely become a good game, especially after they released Wastelanders and Steel Dawn. I think a lot of people saw the crappy launch and stayed away, but that was over 3 years ago; I definitely feel like it's worth it at this point, especially if you get it on a deep sale.
@@shearman360 according to wiktionary: (transitive) To use in place of something else, with the same function. I had no shallots so I substituted onion. Im probably one of the very few people that absolutely loves 76... and i played fallout 4. 76 is a game u really need friends for and that makes it so damn fun yeahh i can understand why ppl hate it so much its not your average fallout in fact its one of the worse thats true but trust me, This is one hell of a game when u got some buddies playing with u
You know watching this after the Starfield presentation you can almost tell Todd doesn't care about this. But Starfield just watch the bit where he says you can fly the ship, he looks so damn happy.
I just want to say I'm glad you guys never gave up on this game even if it wasn't what you promised and the first place throughout these five years it's gotten a lot better updates and NPCs and so much more, I've played this game a lot this year and so far it's been nothing but fun.
I waited like 4 years to play this after being a huge fallout fan my entire childhood, definitely glad I did it because it’s currently my favorite game right now.
Yeah, I've tried telling people I know to give it a go now since it feels like a completely different game than it did at launch. I think a lot of people just soured to it because of the controversy from its initial launch.
I loved FO3 intro and the fact you get a vault life a bit, and the others you’re immediately ejected from the vault hopefully we get a bit more of playing in the vaults in next Fallout or even some more prewar moments or turning a vault into a settlement
I admit it had a terrible launch. But it has greatly improved and for the most part I am enjoying myself and have met awesome friends and people playing this game ❤
Somehow I, a massive fan of Fallout, managed to dodge this bullet. I'm hoping the next Elder Scrolls is good, but I'm also not getting my hopes up anymore.
6:37 I never understood why people were so surprised the game didn't have human NPCs. He says at the time stamp that "each... character is a real person." Like, I took that as every person you see is an actual player. There were NPCs in the original version, they just weren't humans. Made sense with the lore, too. Vault 76 was the first vault to reintroduce humans into the area, so... yeah, there's no people there. Duh. I think it would have gone over better they had telegraphed that better or if the game wasn't (and still is) broken and buggy, but what he says was in the game is mostly in the game, they just didn't make it work as a psuedo-MMO.
I just watched the FO4 presentation followed by this one. The tone in Todd's voice is vastly different. He was so confident in the FO4 reveal. Here, in retrospect we can see that he knew what was coming... He sounds almost pre-apologetic. I think they wanted to try a co-op Fallout game, but the circumstances of release were forced by factors other than their planning.
