Farewell Grossinger’s Pool 

I had a wonderful time there.....April 1973. I came there from New Rochelle, NY. I am married now, but I still think of that time. And Marc Smith is my screen name here.

It was such a big, beautiful pool!

Thanks for all the videos! :/ Also very sad. We have property in Ferndale and were extremely shocked to see everything gone this past weekend as it has been a place we visit to explore for years. Can’t believe we didn’t notice driving past it a few times!

The most beautiful indoor pool I've seen is now gone :(

I was here with my son 3 days earlier, on Sep 18, 2018. 2/3 of the adjoining Pool Wing was demolished, and the Indoor Pool Building looked as beautiful as ever. I still can't fathom how someone could destroy this historic architectural masterpiece.

I wonder if anyone found a phone there in an elevator shaft while they were tearing it down lol. I explored there quite a while ago before I believe 2018, and while I was there I accidentally dropped my Samsung Galaxy S4 in a blue and green OtterBox down the elevator shaft closest to the pool but still inside the lobby. I had slipped on something on the ground and I remember trying to get it but it was just too deep in the water. I was hoping eventually someone might contact me and give it back however over the years I have lost hope. Maybe a construction worker who was there found it and was like "where the fuck did this come from?" And in case they were wondering this is where it came from lol.
