I want to hate Gilgamesh, but he hates Shinji. And I just can't hate that.

Calling Shinji a Mongrel would be an insult to Actual Mongrels.

Petition for Lancer's last lines to be: 'There once was a Servant in blue, His master had played him a fool, But with his last breath the servant stabbed him to death, And thus he bids this world adieu.' Or something along those lines...

“My dad can beat up his dad.” Oh. Oh ok. Just… gonna make this line badass now huh?

I'd say Gilgamesh stole the show, but I don't think it is technically possible to steal that which you already own. And considering that Gilgamesh owns all the treasure in the world, he definitely owns this series.

The line: "Holy shit, I almost died!" Perfectly represents the fact that Gilgamesh is 1/3rd human. It shows that even Gilgamesh is not invincible

Gilgamesh yelling about how he almost died was probably the highlight of this episode for me.

I never knew that Red Like Roses Part 2 would be featured in UBW Abridged as a swan song for Illya & Berserker's last stand against Gilgamesh.

Gilgamesh sounding so excited when Heracles almost kills him says a lot about his character and not in the obvious way you'd expect without knowing about him.

...I'm gonna miss Leysritt. She was definitely the best character. _Wooooooooooooords._

The mere fact that Heracles forced respect post-death on Gilgamesh is a heroic feat in and of itself.

Actually blown away by A) how well Red Like Roses fits the fight thematically and B) How well the song matched the action, at times perfectly beat to beat. Actually masterfully done guys.

They had no business making Illyasviel, Sella and Leysritt so endearing knowing what happens to them. Is that your big plan here? Make me feel feeling so you can cut me down a peg? That cuts deep, but I respect that.

Amazing. Oh yeah I just realized that Lancelot actually did give Gilgamesh a lot more trouble then Heracles. Though in fairness Knight of Owner and Eternal Arms Mastery are an excellent counter to the Gate of Babylon and Berserker is the big guys worst class. Also Enkidu was kind of like a Homunculus so seeing Illiya dead would bring up some bad memories for Gilgamesh nice touch.

Well, I'll be damned. You guys once again not only showed me a banger of a song but made me crack the biggest smile just seeing Gilgamesh being smug for 12 minutes straight. Its hilarious how most characters in this series are just themselves but their personalities are cracked up to 11 and they are free to act like goofballs here and there. This is how abridged series are supposed to be for the most part. Small changes and tweaks in their overall character, but most of the jokes comes from exaggeration of their base personalities. Amazing editing, incredible voice acting, perfectly fitted music and equally good jokes. As always, never stopping with impressing us! Now, here is the great quotes from this episode catalogue (Definitely not complete but enjoy the free copypastas): "Nah! They just blow people up. I usually pin a comment clarifying something but I have nothing to clarify. You look nice today. Drink lots of water. EDIT: AHA. Found something. To those saying Gilgamesh technically has four NPs, please note that Ea is part of the GoB. I presume people's confusion is coming from assuming it's considered seperate, but its lore notes it as the gate's greatest weapon. As important and iconic as it is, it's just another weapon stored within the gate. Enkidu has existed seperately from the gate however. Also remember that what characters say and what's factual correct often diverge due to perspective. Our characters aren't reading from wikias. It would be stiffling if they were.

I couldn't tell if Gilgamesh was actually scared or excited that he almost died! I love that it sounded like both! Can't wait for the Archer/Shiro fight, I was pleasantly surprised with this fight, and the music choice. Since this fight is somewhat tragic. You guys did a stellar job, as usual, of making it intense, funny, serious and awesome!

“Do you ever run out of Noble Phantasms?!” “Nope! It’s kinda my thing!” I see the foreshadowing and I am all for it.

I did not expect red like roses to start playing.

That “Holy shit! I almost died!” was flawless. Exactly the right mix of shock, fear, elation, and admiration. I totally believed he was feeling that incredible rush that follows that moment.

"HOLY SHIT I NEARLY DIED!" Jeez, from my run count, that'd be like the 4th time in this timeline along Gil. Descending to the underworld, then descending again after the snake ate your herb, and then the actual time, and now here. Shirou's gonna make sure you get to at least experience that close run with death a 5th time, while Archer finishes up the job though

Leysritt is precious. Also it makes me extremely happy how happy Gilgamesh sounded at his almost-death, probably the biggest thrill he’s had since my beloved clay left this world.

I like how Gilgamesh is really not different than in the original show it goes to show how perfect of a character he already was so cynical and egotistical. They just cranked that up to 11 and there's no difference he just wears it on his sleeve way more.

Tiny whisper of "Do I get to use the big axe?" followed by equally tiny "Yassssssssssss" Oh. Oh the delivery. Oh I laughed through almost the entire opening sequence.

16:33 Really love this touch. Bothered me that Gilgamesh never drew any parallels between what he was doing here with what happened with Enkidu in his myth. Killing Illya the way he did should have made him uncomfortable in the main series.

Back when episode 5 came out I said I hoped they would abridge Heaven's Feel so Rider and Sakura could get more screen time. I need to extend that to Ilya and Gilgamesh now. Ilya because she deserves better. And despite now much I loved what a monster Gilgamesh was in this episode, that just means he deserves a fate much worse than what this route has to offer him.

In an ep where there wasn't much room for big comedy like some of your other episodes, you managed to make a really entertaining one just from raw performance. amazing job by all here but man that was an impressive Gil. Amazing work. Maximum number of wine glasses were raised in toast.

the longer it takes for these episodes to come out the more i feel this series is going to be legendary like dbz abridged edit: I just finished the premiere and this was AMAZING like always

I genuinely enjoyed this over the actual episode and most other fate things I've seen. I've seen Gil vs berserker hundreds of times but adding red like roses part 2 and new dialogue was so hype.

Red like Roses II was the highlight of the episode for me. It fit so well and my little RWBY heart died.

The relationship between Illya and Berseker is so wholesome, and it's great how the Project Mouthwash writers and VAs brought so much emotional weight to their bond in one episode.

Illya is my favorite character of all time. Tiny murder machine is gonna get Gilgameshed. I’ve seen this 9 times now. Still so funny

21:04 - I love how they make this feel so ominously suspenseful - the shock settling in about the Holy Grail War's strongest team being killed by an unknown outside force 21:30 - It wasn't until I saw this portrait that it dawned on me - this battle truly was a historical event in the Fate timeline.

This episode was glorious, and i love the respect Gilgamesh gave to Heracles at the end so that no one lower can disrespect his demigod opponent.
