I was born in bavaria in a little town into a fundamental christian family (for christ sake) and i believe (!) it is more the second reason! In my xhildhood i hear this shit for so many times and i had to read the fuckin bible who's also full of this fuckin shit.
I"m yet to meet one face to face that uses any of these sorta lines, but there are plenty online. That whole "you cant be punched in the face" aspect has set social interaction back quite a ways.
But, by definition, they are not Christians. Christians follow the teachings of Christ, they love other people, they forgive other people, they love their neighbour (and, as Christ's parable of the Good Samaritan makes clear, their "neighbour" is someone who does not share their religion, is not of their race, and is, for practical purposes, their enemy). I'm a born-again atheist - I used to believe in the Christian nonsense, so I learned a bit about what the Bible says.
@@davidw1518 i am a Devout (or to quote Richard Dawkins 'Militaristic') Atheist ... tho , i grew up in the church ... my Sister & i were taught & enjoyed studying the bible with Our Mom ... As Children & in All of my Experience with 'christians' , having been around ONLY christians for a third of my Life , i can Honestly , Sincerely say : christianity & most christians , in general , Are The FARTHEST Thing , in Existence , from what jesus taught (had jesus been real & not a complete fiction made up by Roman Hierarchy as a way to quell he masses .
Which in itself is funny. "If you don't believe then I'm going to threaten you with something you don't believe in!" .... yeah right as if that would work! To sum it up= I was 18 when my mom found out I was an atheist. Weeks later, I am sitting and just reading a book when out of the blue this happens=Mom= "You know, if you don't believe in God you'll go to Hell." Me= "I don't believe in Hell as its a construct of punishment by your faith for your faith."Mom= "What do you think will happen then when you die?"Me being a snarky teen= "I'll become a ghost and haunt the boy's locker room at school."

I don't think those comments are by trolls. Not enough context but they just sound like Christians who haven't put enough thought into their beliefs and react emotionally to their personal beliefs being threatened. I've dealt with many actual trolls(MrStripeyDog is a perfect example of a troll on youtube and I suspect a pyschopath) and often they are narcissistic and pathological liars in the face of repeated explanations, facts and sound reasoning.
I agree, although it must be considered that it may be impossible for any by-the-Bible Christian to react with any logic and reasoning toward the subject.

If GOD knows everything about every one at every given moment then i guess that all the people saying that your going to hell are the ones going. do to them having at dark in there hearts, that wishing or doing on to others in such a way just shows that they only follow the word of god in mind but in heart and actions they do the devils work. unless you a true person of the lord then you wouldn't say such things. If there is a god, and i personally believe that there is one. Atheists aren't going to hell most of you guy's and gals just don't believe because there is no proof of god. That's not your fault, if god came and proved him or herself to you, you would believe. +Alex Johnson its too bad you think that because theres quite a few reason to not believe in god, namely the hypocrisy filled book he wrote and how there is no proof anything from this book actually ever happened or how prayers have been 100% proven to do nothing. I think atheists troll like this because it is fashionable and trendy to be a sarcastic and with political correctness it doesn't leave you with much to get away with hating and they have to hate something and since it's encourged to hate Christianity it's ok.........
"self proclaimed atheist" want to troll people over it being fashionable, kind of like "Amazing Atheist" calling himself that, having over 8k subscrtiontion, having millions of views, and making stupid little sarcastic video's about how religion is fake is trolling or "childish", and I don't see how you call it "spreading the truth" because people decide weather or not they believe in it and nobody needs you to tell them anything to make up their mind about but you already no that.
When god tells you not to eat from the tree of knowledge in the center of everything that is easy to get fruit from, smells delicious, and constantly has a snake salesman.
What's really bugging me is that when we're threatened with an eternity of torture, brimstone, fire and Beiber we can't strike back. "You will get quite a shock when you're dead and then..." Oh wait... Frustrating. (Well, not really :p)
The one at 2:08 actually seemed kind of genuine, and endearing. Maybe a young-child or teen just parroting what they've heard all their life. Also, the ant-farm one was my favorite! XD
And they're still saying it, still congratulating themselves for being so smart, and still claiming moral superiority. Fortunately they're not ALL like this, but some days it's hard to remember that.
My absolute favorite christian belief, love your neighbor as your self, unless of course that neighbor has different belief then hate them with a fiery passion

I've gotten 'You have to believe in something" from my best friend. She is an intelligent person and was raised Catholic but didn't buy the whole religion thing. Like me. Then she became a born again Christian. She also asked "Doesn't the question about an afterlife bother you?" Me : Erm, no. "Don't you feel life has no meaning and feel lost?" Me : Erm yea sometimes but that's normal and religion is not the answer for me. :P It boggles her mind that maybe we just really do not care.
Whats worse is that people like myself find themselves being an enemy to people like that without knowing that they are in fact being considered enemies to begin with.Their books are full of hate,violence towards others that are different,disciminatory & we are supposed to believe that they love and care about their fellow men & woman. I think I can agree with your statement = )
I walked into that one, so I'll concede that point, LoL. As for specific motivations for specific zealots, neither of us are qualified to answer (we cannot answer that question for anyone beyond ourselves), so some may be acting as they are for the reason you describe, but others may very well be doing it specifically for what you described as not being the motivator. The truth is, we do not and can not know for sure, especially for EVERY zealot, including the theistic ones.
I meet people ( like those trolls ) every once in a while and can't believe that my highly developed sense of self-control allows me to NOT give them dope slaps. Not that it would do them any good because, as it says in Charles Darwin's book : " you can't fight stupid ! ".
