One of the things that I do with 124's is to lap the cocking link and piston w/ DMT diamond pastes till they ride like glass. Sleeve the piston and add some quality moly and it's the smoothest barrel cocking linkage made ! 😀👍 Yeah, I'm a teensy bit OCD... 🙄 It's what I do. 🤷🏼♂️ Someone buys a rifle from me and the barrel's been lapped and polished, Receivers honed and burnished, piston seal fitted, piston sleeved and buttoned, trigger tuned, safety serviced, cocking shoe glided, pivot and shims serviced, tensioned and smooth as silk, Fresh breech seal, chronied and shot for best groups and ammo, but that's where I draw the line. 😆😅😂🤣🤣 When I say it's fully tuned... It's FULLY TUNED! 🤨
👍Thanks! Looking froward to your next video. I,m not familiar with those two sport models but i have the FWB 300S and i shoot hole in hole on 10 and 25 meters. In fact it is no challenge for me anymore to shoot the 300S from a bench. I wear glases and i must admit that i had to mount a scope (also the Hawke Airmax) because my eyes can't focus anymore when i shoot with open sighs or diopter. Thats is also one of the reasons i don't have a PCP because like the challenge from a springer. If i shoot the 300s from the bench under same weather conditions or indoors, tomorrow, next week or next month i already know the result, so now i,m shooting only standing and from the knee and that is a whole new challenge for me🤠
@@marcmyers1465 Hi Marc! I have several Weihrauch HW modells. The 50, 80K, 97KT and the 98. The R-9 or HW95 has the same mechanism as the 98. I choose the 98 because of the very nice looking adjustable stock and the xtra sleeve/weight on the barrel🙂 Great air rifle and very accurate. Mine is in .22cal and shoots very well with the JSB Exact Jumbo 5.52mm. 15,89gr
I know that I liked all of your videos before, but when youtube took my old channel away, they also took away all channels and videos that I liked in the past. So hear is to a new like again 👍. Have a great weekend 🙂👍.
@@razor1962 It was really weird, the video's where several years old. One had to do with a Trump rally and the other one, had to do with the jibber jabber 💉 lol. Very China like, no opinion allowed.
Lovely rifles Kevin. I remember well perusing the Air rifle headquarters and Beemans catalogs. The FWB124, HW35 and Wischo 55/70 rifles were vying for top dog in the sporter category. I had to "settle" for a Sheridan silver streak. You have quite a collection of magnificent sport rifles. Thanks for sharing.
I was the same way. Couldn't afford the higher end guns either. I had a Blue Streak for years. My first springer was an RWS model 45. Darn thing was insanely accurate but buzzed like crazy. My friends and family would make fun of the sound it made when fired. Gave me the nickname "Dernt" because that was the sound that the gun made. Maybe that's why none of my springers are allowed to have any twang now...lol.
@@razor1962 The RWS 45 was a superbly accurate rifle. My friend had a "Beeman 250". They were leather sealed, buzzy, but great shooters. Another late comer was the Webley Vulcan, which was my first sport springer. It was no match for the RWS 45, but a decent rifle for the price.
Just picked up a Webley Eclipse for the channel. Really cool rifle from the eighties. Has a unique loading latch system and an aluminum receiver tube. Also on the way is an old RWS model 50TO1 from the eighties.( basically an underlever 45) Stay tuned...
@@razor1962 I am familiar with the 50 underlever. If by chance you can get your hands on an RWS 46, I recommend it. Mid 800's speed, but one of the most accurate sport air rifles ever made.
@@razor1962 NOBODY tunes a Mod. 27. Sorta like an Anschutz 335. Soak the seal, replace the spring and lubes, Sure... 🤷🏼♂️ Hone the cylinder, sleeve, and button the piston, glide the cocking shoe, and custom spring guides ? Not So Much ! 😉 She's a Beauty, never mind the lipstick. Bell Target Rifle Extraordinaire ! At six pounds you can shoot it all night.😀👍 Just gets a little wobbly after the 1st. 3 pints ? 🙄
You did not disappoint!! Very well done sir. Looking forward to the next video. Plastic trigger guard tho I’m still struggling with. Such a magnificent rifle and high end. Plastic trigger guard just does not complete the circuit. Won’t part with either of mine too!! I await the shooting comparison to see if your results match mine.
Completely different rifles. I would expect that no parts are interchangeable. As far as internal dimensions are concerned, I did not take measurements. Thanks so much for watching. Edited due to auto correction error.
I bought a 127. It’s seal needs replacing. Unlike yourself, I plan to max out the power, but not sure if trigger would hold up. Not an immediate project but will keep you updated. Also look forward for viewing more of your videos. Thanks very much.
@francisfrancis4219 Hi Francis, I just went back and read my earlier response to your original questions. I quickly found a glaring error, which completely reverses what I meant to say. The sentence read " I would expect that (both) parts are interchangeable." That was an auto correction error that I didn't catch. That sentence should have read, " I would expect that (NO) parts are interchangeable." I've since edited the comment and corrected the error. I don't think that you'll do any harm to the trigger by installing a high output tune kit. The 127 is on my "Want List" maybe someday... Congratulations. That rifle is well worth whatever TLC you care to give it, but I'd steer clear of making any irreversible cosmetic changes. It holds value quite well just the way it is. A sincere thanks for your viewership.
6.9 pounds... 😉 The 127 lists as 6.8 lbs. In the 12 fpe. range this was seemingly a perfect balance of power to weight. This is also why the Weihrauch HW50s stands out amongst the rest of it's competitors. 😀👍
Thanks Mark!!! That's about right. It's also ideal and quite impressive for a rifle in it's power range. Something tells me that you could educate just about anyone on the 124.
