Why? Have a collection of rods. Been using two (2) the same 2 since 1978. Am completely satisfied. And they catch trout just as good as new rods. Saves money.
Is the Moonlit probably the fastest rod of the bunch? Also, how does its weight compare to the others? And finally, do you think the Moonlit could handle a 6 wt line and heavier streamers or does it start to bog down once you get a fair amount of line in the air. Enjoyed your comparison.
Yes, the Moonlit seems to be the fastest and the one i grab most often. I dont really notice the weight being different than the others significantly. Im not sure id put a 6 on it...would slow it down..i have the 6 and use it frequently...youll see it a new video tonite.
Does the echo river glass feel that heavy or just heavier than the others? Also, I’m looking for a smooth casting rod that’s a slower medium. Which one would you suggest?
The echo glass is a longer rod so naturally weighs a tad more due to having extra material. Im really fond of the Moonlit Lunar S Glass series...i have the 5 and 6 and like them both and use them alot.
I have the Redington Butterstick 4piece 5wt fiberglass rod. It’s impeccable especially as a 4 piece. It has a slightly faster actions because so. It’s so fun to fish. I have the EagleClaw Glass Rod as well and use it as a back up or to fish smaller areas.
You do realize that video is almost 2 years old. Just because something has been discontinued doesnt mean its not available on the secondary market and the review isnt useful to somebody.
