As someone learning carbs I greatly appreciate this, you may have made me feel like a dumbass but the knowledge was much needed, I thank you greatly good sir
Fantastic video and tutorial... Can't tell you how often I have to explain this same thing to younger gear heads. I have a 1970 Camaro I just had to fire up after sitting for a year. Same thing... Fill up the carb bowl.
👍have an oldie 71’Coronet which I revived 3 yrs ago it was in storage for years so needed new cylinders & machine job… All great but since a few weeks back it has a hard timing starting when cold, I left it sit for a couple of months so to start it when cold I have to put gas in the carb, and the clear fuel filter goes empty, what to check??? after it warms up it runs like champ
Great video. went to start my moped up after running through all the gas and was wondering why it kept shutting off after the battery was full. Had to keep pressing the electric start to get fuel into the carb
Literally laughed out loud because all the different reasons I've had to limp my car home. Ultimately I found a solution. Bought a better car!! But this video at least gives me another trick in my bag just in case. Thanks!!
i have a 1977 chevy i just replaced the carb and it sounds like a john deer tractor and as soon as you let off the thottle it dies it has new pump filter plugs wires cap and rotor
Samething on mine , 5 days, with Edelbrook 4 barrel #1406 going to change to modern electric pump to get away from that., modern fuel maybe Carb leaking down or car gas line hot near exhaust manifold.
My question is if I have to keep doing this what does mean? My gas pump has been replaced 3 times. My carburetor one time. If I have to keep doing this that means? My carburetor bad?
