FF16 did this well too. Its like they have an overworld track that plays when not in combat, but when you enter combat, a remixed version of it begins, continuing the moment the former ends.
Seeing my favorite game of all time redone and looking like this is a wish come true.. I’m really enjoying waiting for the games to come out and everything as a whole! The first play through is everything. So far, this game is doing it all over for me again.
Looks fantastic. I'm also very impressed with how well Cloud swims with that Buster Sword on his back, or that he swims at all being a Final Fantasy character
It's looking great, excited to book off some work time to play part 2 - feel the story really gets going from here on out and looking forward to seeing where they take it!

@@willckzyeah and unfortunately it feels that when they are telling the story in the remake, they are telling the story as if you played the original. For example, nobody explains who sephiroth is but he is mentioned all the time and appearing often in part 1.
@@willckz its not JUST nostalgia, the game by itself is very solid and worth playing. And NOTHING can come close to the original FF7 impact, it was a different time and market. Even the original game would not have the same impact in today market. Just because the remake is not creating the same success doesnt mean it will be bad.
@@off-meta-michael yes but it will not be the entire world of ff7 there are many locations we wont be able to travel to until the next game. tought to say how many. but we know wutai for instance will not be available until the next game. among all other story locations after the forgotten chapel. so big yes, but not the entire world of FF7 in this
@@Jourmand1r it's as open world as any other open world game. Not like you're getting a ton of places in games like Horizon or Elden Ring without specific items outside of using glitches or weird, completely unintended exploits. Gating parts of a world to items and abilities is completely normal in all open world games.
They said it’s a 100 hour adventure so to me that means just the story. Remember we are getting two stories through this game: the og and the alternate Zack timeline. So I’m sure we will definitely be about to get 200 hours out of this one from the all the story and extra stuff. Especially having chocobo racing and the golden saucer
@@thespawnofsephiroth The original FF7 can be completed in 36 and a half hours. 82 if it's 100% completion. This game is the second in a trilogy of split pieces of that game... If this PIECE of that actual full game is going to be that long this game will be so bloated with filler that the pacing will be DESTROYED. The game would be hilariously bad. Even Squareenix aren't that dumb, it would probably be around 50 hours like Remake (which ALREADY had pacing issues)
Love that there is this semi-parry thing carried over from Yuffie DLC where you block in time. Hope a proper parry can be added in future? Like it will cause a few seconds slow down
Square Enix knows this game is their legacy and most fan’s favorite entry. It seems they actually put the resources and effort to make this remake trilogy the absolute best it can be
@@MiNiWhYtE Yes, it's absurd that they turned a SINGLE game from 1997 into three games... Obviously everyone with a brain would know that putting enough padding into those parts to make it a full length game would DESTROY the great pacing of the original, but everyone praises them for it anyway.
@@MiNiWhYtE They already made an entire game out of the first 5 hours of FF7. There is basically no way this game takes you beyond the City of the Ancients, which was about the halfway point

8:53 The fact cloud uses ELEMENTAL SPELL BLADE ATTACKS makes him to one of my faves. 8:45 even aerith has a badass attack like WTF 1:25 red X completely unexpected nuke like TF 9:31 absolute Favorite attack
youtube need to stop with the low bitrates on videos that are in 720 and 1080. litery both HD resolutions that used to be crystal clear up until they put bitrate behind a paywall.its scummy as hell. and is making videos like this look awful despite them being in HD
Hyped for this game! Minor complain is that characters walk directly through grass, without any animation... You may expect more when compared to other triple A titles.
