The spirit lance was actually the second celestial weapon I got fully upgraded. I would say that the butterfly race is still better than the chocobo race. As tedious as it is, the pattern for the butterflies is much easier to work around than compared to the chocobo race. It actually took me much longer to finish the butterfly race because I didn’t actually know there were 2 separate races in 2 parts of the forest, and I kept repeating the first race for basically no reason. It’s over now though
I feel like your story is a pretty common experience in the FF community. As much as I enjoy the game, so much of the optional content is left unexplained and vague. Probably very rewarding to figure out on your own, but frustrating if you're always on the outside. Thanks for watching!
@@DoubleBuffTeam FFX has pretty good fighting mechanics, a pretty good story, and decent enough animations on the HD remaster given how old it is now, but I’m extremely confident that the people who designed the challenges for the celestial weapons never played the game in the first place. They are the de facto best weapons in the game for each individual character, so I don’t mind that players regardless of what FF game they play will ultimately be forced to work for them in some way, but FFX took a pretty terrible route in making the challenges harder than they should be for no real reason
Damn lucky you the butterfly was the hardest for me. I did all the other ones, including lulus, first because I still can’t catch the damn butterflies.
Lol. I figured out why none of my stones were lit up. I had already collected them. Had the little buddy running around on the map. Went and "prayed" at the broken tower and got it. (Must have the mirror.)
Thanks for this. Got all celestial weapons now, just need to get the remaining sigils and crests. I've completed the Chocobo racing and 200 lightning dodges challenges - the most frustrating mini-games in FF history.
Wakkas sigil isn't too bad so long as you're playing blitzball intermittently throughout the events of the story, I just made it a habit of playing a game of blitzball at every other save sphere I came across, and his was actually the first sigil I obtained in my current walkthrough.
The hit boxes on the reds seem like they're twice as large as the butterfly itself. Infuriating to get a battle when there's a visible gap between us...
2:52 can be acquired before "Yunalesca" and powered up once, not twice! Airship is required for the sigil in the forest (butterflies). You are a traitor... in Guadosalom and there is many parts of this quest. Travel backwards is blocked (for story reasons at different intervals) and "D.A." beasts. 3:20 (not true, error) all C.W. can/will ignore defense in fights (innate trait, 8:00 you did not say this here), so use them BUT SWITCH THEM OUT BEFORE THE KILLING BLOW if they are not fully powered up (crest/sigil) to another weapon for the "ap" gains. There are different "lvls" of prizes in the butterfly mini game (and two parts --> north/south)... for the different times in the story you can revisit this area to complete it... 3+ but I did twice like normal/well-adjusted people, hint hint! 3:55 7:13 (True, you will be mad if lose the hard fought chests) All aeons have 8 "slots" for abilities: Attack 1> empty + *corresponding C.W. crest* ==> BDL (some exceptions: Bahamut, Anima, Magus Sisters) 2> PIERCE 3> ribbon/deathproof (NOTE: They can be banished by Seymour) 4> always empty (curse/delay protection slot I assume) Defense 5> sensor 6> empty/elemental eater (innate on elemental aeons) 7> BHPL 8> BMPL
FFX mini games are cancer in the purest form… the hit boxes are random every run. It’s very fun trying to obtain all celestial weapons I can’t believe I’m putting myself through this again. Anyways thanks for making these videos.
i hate the butterfly minigame however i dont think its as difficult as the chocobo race or the 200 lightning bolts nor do i hate it as much as playing a shit ton of blitzball
@@shadowmomochiuchiha6839 Yeah as a first timer on Xbox one X in 2022 it took me less than 27 minutes but at 1:00am before sleeping lol and those Chocobo achievements had me curious so maybe that’s why it was easy but I dunno
@@destroyermcw626 I find it completely impossible. I can finish it and beat the trainer, but I canNOT get 0.0.0 time. Too much RNG and I’m just not good enough at maneuvering the chocobo. I overcorrect and don’t go the direction I intend to.
I tried it yesterday. Took me about twenty tries maybe more. I kept lowering my time and also having bad runs where the time was over 20 seconds. Knew it was possible when I hit .9 seconds. Almost gave up twice too. But when I did make it, I got 16 balloons with 1 bird hit. I also missed about 5 maybe 4 balloons I could have got. Thought I wouldn't make it but then I seen my results. 16 balloons and 1 hit. I was like c'mon c'mon be good enough. Success!!@@Magdalen2255
@@Magdalen2255I noticed the chocobo would seem to move on its own at times. But of frustration. Just keep trying. One tip, I would go straight when the race starts. The trainer tries to get all the balloons at the start. But for me those are the ones easiest to get. No birds. That was my strategy, get the starting balloons and then try get ones on the field. Again I missed a few. Just dodge the birds you'd get the hang of it
I'm having trouble with this particular weapon for Kimahri. I have yet to see Tidus perform a prayer at any of the stones. Thanks anyway for your video.
Same. I'm on xbox and I went to all the cactuar stones and none of them were glowing. I pressed X/□ at all of them anyway. I went to the tower and I saw a ghost cactuar there. Pressing X/□ again and the chest appeared!
I try finding it but the cactuar on the other side of the map doesn't glow and been here for more than 10 minutes and nothing it's there a glitch that doesn't allow you to get the weapon
Does anyone know why I can't upgrade my lance? I have the lance, and the two related upgrade items. When I try to upgrade it, I get the message that the 'time has not yet come'.. plz hlp!

I have the celestial mirror and I got the chest to appear but it still won't open? is my game just screwed and I have to start over? I really hope not cause I already did the 0 second race, got attack reels, and got the saturn sigil and got all aeons

Nah dude.. the chocobo race is fucking cancer, ill have literally no problem for 99% of the race, then right at the finish line the corridor becomes so narrow that u literally can't dodge the birds, and the game continues to troll me every time I get to that point with the right amount of balloons 😂
Its pure r&g, any guide you might find is literally that person's perfect run and them basically going "now what you want to do, is go right along this path with the balloons and avoid the birds"...complete bs
No. Nonononono. NO! These fucking butterflies are worse than snakes in a gddamn plane. The only thing worse than those gddamn things is Lulu's lightning. I never got those two sigils when I was playing it back in PS2. I can do the fkin chocobo oneblind folded 😅😅😅😂
