I think Garuda is one of the most dominant primals. Wind is an element that can control and manipulate many of the others. Not to mention, with her command over the wind, she could tear the world of Final Fantasy apart if she wanted to with a single gust. Garuda is a commander of a force feared by many, including her own kin, she even showed a demanding attitude toward the fire and earth primals to devour their aether. In fact, I think Garuda and Ramuh are the most dominant primals in Final Fantasy.
I just fought Garuda and I gotta say, wow... I love evil organ music in things and maniacal laughter, and loved the way she just was laughing while spinning about the air... Really showed that she was, quite literally, in her element... It also contrasted amazingly with the slow angelic sort of entrance she had, like a visual oxymoron...
I was listening to the music and initially thought she was gonna say "Now fall," in a very soft voice, like she does in her normal fight theme, so I was kinda off guard in expecting her soft voice, but instead I was greeted with her loud, spine-stiffening shriek that, and I kid you not, scared the living shit outta me and made me jump. Holy crap I wasn't expecting that @~@
Yanno, first time I did Garuda, the intro cutscene actually helped, because it basically told me what she was going to do, and what I was going to have to do to avoid it. Sure, it's also a banger of an opening, and a great piece of cinematics, but it's also introducing the concept of mechanics that will be present in the fight, which is next-level for a simple boss cutscene!
I thought this was so amazingly epic, I literally got chills. It made me feel like I was 16 years old, sitting on my couch, clutching my controller while encountering a major boss in one of the earlier Final Fantasy console games. Music, style, everything was perfect. My favourite Titan and cut scene thus far!
I saw some gameplay on another video but the comments for some reason were disabled so ill comment here! I was like, whoah, on 1st impression, shiva definitely has heavy completion based on looks, the music was very elegant but had some awesome guitaring, I must confess that garuda is the final prompt that really made me wanna be a summoner, ifrit shiva and now garuda, i say garuda because the king of dragons has a new occupation, though im considerin rotation between titan and garuda, we'll c!
