Hey man love the video, I ended up negotiating an Audi for my mom in the past week. Called multiple dealers and came down to 2 dealers. One gave me the price I want but didn’t like the color and the other one had the color I want just not the price. I ended up going back and forth with the sales person and told him put me on the phone with someone who wants to sell cars. He then proceeded to tell me that number is just not realistic and if he brings it to his manager he wont approve of that price. So then I get transferred to the manager and get the price and color I want because I said another dealership was offering me better numbers. Me and my mom showed up to get the car and they asked for my age and we’re in shock they got haggled by a 22 year old over the phone. We did the deal and never stepped foot in the dealership just to take delivery and sign the paperwork and you should’ve seen the look on the managers face 😂

Awesome glad to know you got the deal you wanted and I know I bought a car for the exact price I needed and the car I wanted back in 2021 got almost 10k off the dealer market adjustment at the time now I’m waiting for some court shit to get through that and then I’m looking at getting a hellcat or low mileage m340i or even m240i I’m just scared of being 24 and the insurance on a hellcat lol

@@Capper69don’t get a hellcat. Get a 2024 mustang GT or another car. I’m also 24 and waiting on 3 settlements before I decide with I want another dodge or a mustang. The good thing is you’ll be able to sleep at night knowing nobody is stealing the mustang and it’s faster than RTs and scats

My uncle wanted to buy a Scat pack last year and when they were showing the numbers, a 50k car went up to 75k OOTD. They couldn't explain the large jump in price and they told him that if he didnt buy, someone else will. He ended up leaving. Same dealership is now calling him to see if he's interested and that the prices are lower and willing to work with him. He said thanks not interested anymore.

My sister has worked as a finance manager for dealerships since she graduated college and getting her CPA. They are all scams, she sells customers credit cards and gets a big incentive to do so. her job is to convince them they need to be up charged on anything. She makes 1/4 million a year and talks non stop shit about the customers lol. ALL dealers and EVERYONE that works in them are scam artists and just want your money. They don't give a shit how they get it. They want it, and that is it. Edit: I asked her ONE time for a deal because I needed a new daily driver. Oh, all the cars are already marked as low as they can go speech. She actually tried the tactics on me, I was completely awe struck. We do not talk anymore, cuz I can only listen to so much BS lol.

If the story is above board, I am happy to hear the customer ended up playing the dealer, instead of getting played. I would still bring suit as the Dealer CANNOT make him run his credit, especially with him bringing in a check from the bank.

The dealers run credit so they can deliver the car without having to wait for the bank check to clear. Because of fraud, scammers, etc: they do this to confirm identity, legitimacy; and ensure that if the check doesn’t clear that they can fiancé the car. I always pay cash or use credit union bank checks and they always require running my credit to roll the car. I asked once if I can avoid that and they hesitate and finally admitted that they’d have to hold the car until the check clears which would give me up to a week to change my mind and back out until I roll off in the car. I’ve argued this many times and in the end I just make sure they only run me once vs shotgun me like many do.

@@ocmotivator With as hard as it is to raise up and keep ones credit higher, I would have NOT allow them to run my credit. As it is from a bank, the dealership can gladly call the bank and use perr to peer encryption to verify the check. That excuse from the dealership would not hold weight.

@@steveellsworth2547 all that makes sense but the scammers are rampant and the paranoia is strong. They get nothing from us by running our credit. It’s not like they get more money by running it. So it’s simply a paranoia thing. Anyone can choose not to take the car until the check is completely cleared the bank. And yes my dealer called Navy Fed to get the code for the check and verify it. But I could still stop that check or navy could as well. So they want that money. Also when they run the credit they can see a lot that would throw a red flag and save them from a really good scammer. But I get it, and agree, I just don’t see any ulterior motive for them to do it though.

@@ocmotivator You have a point. I would hope the dealer is not being petty by doing so. They would temporarily nick the purchasers FICO score and have a 2 year wait for that credit pull to come off their report. I would emphasize to the Dealer there is no rush, and that I will wait until funds transfer, before I pick up the car. by the way, I really enjoy the material you provide on your channel. I own a Mustang GT, but I am following the car market and its challenges this year, with the interest rates being out of control.

@@ocmotivatorwhats up Oc so I hit up Max from orange coast dodge and well they have this black charger scatpack msrp for 55,935 in their website they have a dealer discount of 6,712 and the dodge rebate of 3,000 which brings the selling price to 46,223 and well I ask Max for an OTD price and came back with a 51, 661 is that a good deal or what should I do?

Dealerships that state fair and accurate prices will deal thier cars. Stealerships that play games with fees, add ons and requirements have lots full of cars. If Stellantis reissued window stickers or increase factory incentives ... then Dealerships will never cut prices. The reason you see lots of HEMI cars left is bad dealers!

I paid 20k off sticker for my sons NB challenger scat pack. I feel like the dealer was salty about the deal. The car was filthy and they only ran it through an automated car wash. Never explained any of the features. Didn’t activate the dodge uconnect or the installed LoJack they were hoping I’d just forget about the included 3 year subscription. I still didn’t care got my son the car he always wanted, in the color he wanted at a price I never thought was possible.

Additionally that deal is for residents in CA. I called them directly and they wouldn't talk to me for an out of state purchase.

I was told you can file a complaint against a dealer with the FTC. It is also against the law to do "Tied selling" - forcing a customer to buy stuff they didn't approve or ask for. Even worse is charging for items that aren't even on the car. The customer should have the option to refuse. It is also illegal to ask for a credit history in order for you to test drive a car.

OEM dealers are absolutely frustrating. Here in Florida, there are a ton of hidden fees! I just bought a Jeep Wrangler 392 from Carmax after getting the run around OEM dealers. The process was extremely smooth using my own financing with Carmax. I bought my first C8 Corvette from Carmax years ago, and the transaction was extremely smooth. I'm an advocate for transparency and will continue to purchase through Carmax for the ease of the entire process. Free 24 hr test drive and 10 day no questions asked return policy.

I've heard this from several people as well. Dealers that aren't oem that have dodge cars will sell them at a fair price compared to the oem places that try to rip you off.

Hey, I got a dealer that is in Tampa you can investigate. Dayton Andrew's has a red eye that I've been keeping tabs on. It started at $107k and some change then they dropped the price $4k. Then they decided to list it and tell people to call for price. We'll I did and was connected to a salesman who confirmed the last price of $103k . That was short lived the manager found out about my interest and told the salesman that he wants $280k for it. Someone there has been driving the car around town putting 500 miles on it and he still wants to sell it for more than twice the amount of the original price.

Have you noticed that as of today, none of the dodge dealers are showing the window sticker on their ads.If you click on the window sticker the response will be that it is not available.

When shopping for a car the thing to keep in mind is that the law is generally on the side of the consumer. Go into the process knowing and understanding your rights. It's really not that difficult to play the game and the deck is stacked in your favor as long as you don't fall for and get suckered by the dealer's nonsense.

Just checked my local dealer website… SXT and some RT 5.7 challengers $10k below msrp, scats +/-4k below, a few hellcats a couple thousand below, and only redeye widebodies still marked up $75k. most with only window tint as an add on, which in S AZ you definitely need. much of what they listed a week ago is gone, one sxt left, GTs gone. 76 chargers on the lot. larry miller dodge tucson.

I will buy a scatpack when it is for the price of maximum 37000 $ this car are 2023 I predict that they will have a lot of inventory in December and they will be cars that are more than two years old, so they will drop more in price.

In 2019 I bought a brand new scatpack charger for 36k$ out the door! Prices should go back to that level, especially for cars that have been built 1 or 2 years ago and just sitting at the dealer lot.

You can buy a RT For that, but don't hold your breath on a Scat pak My RT 6sp. MANUAL is aplenty O Fun. Can bump it to 550 Hp for a Ton less than a Scat too.

I have financed a couple of used cars before to get a better deal. Then on the first payment I paid the loan off. I had already gotten the loan and had the money in the bank. Any business that adds costs in fine print on the ad is usually dishonest.

I got my 2020 sxt last year they wanted 35k I had cash and refused. I left and went back the next day and got it for 25k because they needed to sell and you could get one pretty much anywhere.

Dodge has a 255 day inventory according to Kevin the homework guy and they have thousands of cars just sitting. do not pay a penny in dealer fees and do not pay over MSRP. There’s literally no reason to. They are hurting bad.

I am amazed at all the BS these folks are putting up with. I generally internet search the car and options I want, get the price that "experts" recommend I should pay, then contact 5 dealers through the internet sales manager and get the price they will sell it for. Then I walk in with my bank check and buy it with my financing, unless they offer better. Any bs from them and I leave for the next lowest dealer. I refuse to deal with the clowns in the sales department.

In case the bank check was fraudulent or bounced, they can fund a loan and get paid. Also running the credit will show that the buyer has the means to finance if something goes wrong and they can roll the car. Otherwise they’d have to hold the car until the check clears the bank. That’s my best guess.

8:30 I'm a little confused as to why he would let them run his credit. As he states in the email, it's illegal for them to demand this and for good measure even if they found his credit to be poor they still can't fail to deliver the car to him with a purchase agreement and a check payment with certified funds. The customer seems to imply that if he had bad credit that they could prevent the sale but this is just not true. I guess I'm not sure why he let them pull his credit at all when that was wholly unnecessary. 🤔

I always wonder that as well. The dodge dealer I got my Swinger from insisted on the same thing and said they had to do it even though my deal was technically cash. Likely it’s an identity verification thing and to make sure the bank check clears/isn’t fraudulent and they can fund a loan to get paid if something is fishy with the check. There’s been a lot of fraud with bank checks out there so that’s my best guess.

Jesus if it's come to that I don't no if I trust the car and them having my information. 🤦 Really not a wholesome way to do business. Leaves and mud . Not good image to set as a company or a representative of it . American auto should make a better attempt at being competitive to foreign auto makers . If you don't want them to buy a Honda or Toyota why wouldn't you just make better efforts to be competitive. Reliability pricing staff relations with customers just come on man . There needs to be quality people in these companies not hustlers. Just crap .
