I wear it like that also after heart surgery. Cant get used to the right way anymore. I do have airbags though

@@rogerwhiting9310 An airbag works with your seatbelt. The seatbelt slows your fall toward the airbag so the airbag can finish slowing the momentum. The airbag can't do it's job if you aren't wearing the seatbelt the way it was designed. Have you tried those wrap around cushions? You can barely feel the belt with one.

Eventually, I cancelled my membership. To top that off, WE SAVED MOTOR TREND - US - RU-vid. the community behind Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, etc. Pulling that content off of RU-vid was a giant @*&!!!! to the fan base that supported RK and the rest of them. Sorry for the rant, Yes, you are completely correct it is still free, no, it isn't the same.

TurboHawkV6 It’s the 275 bridge from Indiana to Kentucky, not really long but we get some bad crashes on it

275 is way nicer than I-75 right there. At times, I-75 looks kinda like 12 lanes of Hell with everybody trying to outrun each other. All the other sections of I-75 are pretty tame in Kentucky with the exception of that damn hill crossing into Tennessee. You know the one, where the fireworks store was that burnt down.

The 86 + Chevy trucks got TBI not carb / pump in the tank. The 73 to 86 single cab trucks changed body styles after 86 but the crew cab ( and maybe the Suburban ) hung on for a few more years.

@@bobroberts2371 i missed out that was an 89 TBI 454.. i fix so many identical issues.. dies going up hill with fuel filters and after installing that full flow cleaning of the fuel pump.. with the engine cranking or running.. heck i had to do a 10 micron fuel filter and mechanical fuel pump install today. Edit.. if a TBI engine died like that.. i would pull the fuel pump relay.. strip it out of the cover.. check the contacts.. reinstall it bare.. squeeze the contacts and see if i get instant response from the fuel pump.. i would then while one person holds it.. have another person start the engine.. with the engine running at idle.. i would Unplug the fuel pump relay and the engine should continue to run.. up till the 2003 model the fuel pump relays were backed up by a 3 or 4 wire oil pressure switch. if the engine dies when the relay is pulled.. then the oil pressure switch is bad and needs to be changed.. an easy test of the oil pressure switch fuel pump contacts.. no other easy way to do that. i have had horrible luck with the oval case fuel pump relays being bad right out of the box.. i also perform this test on every car and truck i work on.. i.imgur.com/kviX0VQ.jpg takes me about 5 minutes to perform it.. i use custom longer test leads. test 5 goes on an 89 thru 94 or so to the studs on the firewall above the passenger side valve cover where the fuel pump relay is hidden. along with the fuel pump fuse.. i await the next episode of the side of the road gang ..

I had a wreck one time and if i had been wearing a helmet inside my pick up truck, I wouldn't have hurt my head. I also bruised my leg and I bet if it had been wrapped in bubble wrap it wouldn't have happened.

Damn now I gotta get highway spec supersafe ultratight thick bubblewrap headgear so I'll feel safe and happy when I try to ride my bicycle on the autobahn.👍 thanks to everyone for their advice!

Usually if you change a OEM gas filter that old 10 - 30 years. You need to change the fuel pump too.

From what i understand, in Germany no seat belt = no insurance pay out in the event of a crash. Is this true?

@@bobroberts2371 yes, that's right. And if you drive normally without a seatbelt and the police sees it you have to pay a 30€ penalty

I think an '89 came with TBI from the factory. Usually pretty reliable but all bets are off on a 30-yo truck that's been sitting a while. My guess is either the in-tank fuel pump or the ignition coil (or less likely, the ignition module) up and died, or was marginal and couldn't handle the long uphill.
