That’s what this game can make you feel, it gets so dark in part II. It’s real emotional too, having people you spend a large amount of time with and care for become your enemy... it really shows how disastrous war is.
It’s even better that your first route was BL. Having the students all gather together to find and aid Dimitri while he was going insane with THIS song was so emotional. I teared up a little ngl.
Me during golden deer: nobody important really changed Me during black eagle: still not too much difference... Me during blue lions: sooo mercedes is ruined but annette got hot? How is this happening??
But then immediately realizing that they are now in a war you were unable to try and prevent, and you can only hope that what you taught them so far is enough to keep them alive while you finally join them to help put an end to it all.
Yeah I like the quotes each character have when they are below half health. It adds a bit of depth to the characters that they are responding and actually going through the actions the player is putting them through. Thought it was a nice touch.
Gu the Tanuki It's particularly heartbreaking when the characters are low on hp during war phase. Really sounds like they've got little to no fight left in them.
@@guthetanuki256 Shadows of Valentia was the FE game before this one, and wasn't a new release but a remake of an older game. So it is still a somewhat new feature to the series as a whole
“This is gonna get expensive. Collect everything the thieves carried out!” “Shall we go rat hunting? Don’t let a single vermin escape!” “Stop the thieves! Retrieve our stolen goods!” By far one of my favourite parts of the game, after Edelgard sent everything into pure chaos and Byleth wasn’t there to do anything about it, and after so long, the houses come back together, and we’re right back to it.
I prefer the rain versions of these songs, mainly because it feels like the thunder versions cut out some of the durations of the beats, but on the other hand it makes sense because it'll if you hear a loud noise like thunder, your ears get a bit of ringing, and you can't hear softer notes, so it's genius that the notes in this song are loud and short.
This is actually the only track in the game that for me the Thunder version actually outshines the rain version. I like to picture the Rain version as Dimitri and Byleth fighting alone and the transition to thunder is when the rest of the Blue Lions enter the fray. Interpreting it like that makes it so epic.
The Empire is ascendant. The Kingdom has fallen. The Alliance is divided. The key to understanding it all is lost. Two stand alone, seeking to kindle a new flame of hope that flickers and sputters within the storm, fated to die before it has shed any light. And then _they return._
Dimitri: "I disposed of doubt long ago" Of course this is in reference to the Nintendo Ninjas. I have no doubt that we probably haven't seen the last of them yet.
This is far and wide the best track in the Three Houses soundtrack. The intensity it carries always gives me goosebumps... it's a song about being at the very edge of life and doing whatever it takes to survive! Simply amazing~! Although I consider the whole soundtrack A+ tier. The game as a whole is simply a masterpiece.
The emotion that the soundtrack of this game gives you and portrays is heartbreaking for the most part... it’s really like “this is war, show no mercy” especially when doing Azure Moon... a little on Crimson Flower too because you essentially become the enemy but with Azure Moon with how much Dimitri changed and just how intense it becomes... I have to give props to Chris Hackney for his beautiful performance as Dimitri, the emotion was breathtaking and really have me a hard time in that route. I love this game so much. Azure Moon’s ending was happy yet somber, in Crimson Flower it gave you a feeling that you are doing something bad, Verdant Moon was very triumphant and made you feel really accomplished for what you’ve done to unite everyone and fight for what you believe in, Silver Snow also felt pretty somber because you don’t get to experience the deaths of some people but you feel responsible somehow, the church making you the leader didn’t seem fulfilling to me, I felt bad for what I did before. I don’t think many other games exist that have this quality storytelling and emotion through small things. I don’t know honestly I’m just rambling but still, this game is fantastic.
"I'll comply." "My orders?" "I be honored." "I'm your girl" "At your service." "I'll cut through." "What's the plan?" "Ready when you are." "I am prepared." "For the Empire!: "I'll cut a bloody path!" "Ready for anything." "I will prevail." "Put me in there." "More fighting..." "I'm awake." "Guide me well." "Onward!" "Let's clean up." "I'll crush em all." "Lets go!" "At the ready." "Who me?" "I'll do my best." "Let's make this quick." *insert Raphael and Ignatz quote here since I dont like them.* "Sure thing." "Oh yea!" "Sally forth!" "Sunshine..." "Why not?"
@@nobodycares743 It was a good game, but I am not a fan of having to do 2 other routes to get the full story, especially when I'm not a fan of Edelgard.
Blue Lions - The Kingdom is left without a king, Dimitri has become nothing more than a bloodthirsty monster who seeks the head of the false perpetrator of a traumatic event he endured and suffered. With the professor by his side, however, perhaps he can find redemption and understand the truth of all those years ago... To move on from the past. Verdant Wind - The alliance is divided, with Rhea missing. Claude has been waiting for so long for the professor at the remains of the Monastery, and the two together along with the Golden Deer, they may just be able to rise once more for Fodlan's New Dawn. Silver Snow - The Church is in ruins, where Seteth and the remains of the Church of Seiros search for Rhea. The professor and the now Emperor of the Adrestian Empire meet once more, and clash their swords in regret and sorrow before they part and finally become enemies forever. With Seteth, and the rest of the Black Eagles, perhaps they can save Fodlan and restore it to it's former glory. Crimson Flower - The war is at a standstill, the Black Eagle Strike Force had secured a major victory at the Garreg Mach Monastery, but the combined forces of the Church of Seiros and Faerghus Kingdom prevent the war from going anywhere while the Leicester alliance continues to remain neutral and resist while on the verge of dividing. Once the professor returns, however, as Edelgard has searched for him/her for so long, the two and the Black Eagle Strike Force can finally continue the war, slay the Immaculate One, and give a world for humanity to end the suffering of what crests have brought upon the world.
For grinding fights, this got old quickly. Switched back to Fodlan winds for those. Kept this for the real fights, like paralogues and missions. I don't like getting bored of "epic" things by them being overused.
@@laken6461 While in a map, pause the game and go to options, then press ZR until you get to the third tab. It's to the right of the Monastery tab, I think. Scroll down the options there until you see one that says something like "background music" with Automatic being selected. Beneath that option directly should be an option you can't change yet that shows what song is playing during a battle. Change the automatic one to manual, then change the song beneath it to whatever pleases you from the selection they have. Sorry I can't remember the names of all of it, but it's there. Just remember to change the tab in the options screen while in the map you want to change the music for. It doesn't play back the music in the preparations pre-battle part but it does once you actually start it.
Why? They just protect what belongs to them. I wish they would put out a legal way to buy or download their soundtracks besides having the game open on your switch, but besides that... I understand why they are doing what they do.
@@skynikan I don't recall anyone else being as much of a pain in the ass here on youtube and mass blocking videos, messing with monetization on original videos, and generally being a pest
@@zeta5684 That's only because people had so much freedom on the internet, they expect by now that other people's intellectual property should be free for everyone. The companies payed so much money to make this, they want to grt he reward by having people purchase it. Nintendo is not doing anything wrong by restricting content that may harm their sales. That's how business works. You would go to the police too if someone stole something from you.
@@skynikan This may sound ridiculous to you, but finding Fates soundtracks here on youtube first was the reason I was convinced to purchase the game and then its dlc. The same happened again sometime after echoes release. In addition to Nintendo being the odd man out in this disagreement, this is but one of several things they do on youtube that bother's people like me such as mess with monetization and block videos that are absolutely not stealing anything. If Nintendo wasn't the odd man out and if there weren't other problems, then I would be more fit to agree with your point.
