@@tonymartinis2956 heres a question for you. what sport do you like or follow? rugby is a physical battle of protecting and advancing the rugby ball to the oppositions goal
@@tonymartinis2956 Follow the ball. 30 guys on the field, 15 on each and only one can advance the ball forward by running it towards the other end of the field called the Opposition goal line, only the team in possession can advance the ball by passing the ball to a team mate, kicking the ball forward or kicking the ball up field and out over the side line where play is reset for a line out and the ball is given to the opposition to throw in, and they contest for the ball for possession when it is thrown into the line out. by tapping the ball on their side to their halfback or taking it in to form a ruck so the ball is made available more securely to their half back to clear the ball to his backline. Many variations with forwards can be included to advance the ball forward. the object of the game is to score a try by forcing or grounding the ball over the try line of the opposition end and scoring a try worth 5 points a conversion is taken from where the try was scored at any distance depending on the kicker, if successful kicking the ball between the post 2 points is also added the the score making the score 7 points, other scoring options include being awarded a penalty and if it is within range kick a goal worth 3 points and another option is a drop goal which can be taken from anywhere, at anytime worth 3 points also last option is being awarded a penalty try by the referee for an illegal infringement worth an automatic 7 points and no kick at goal needed. The team in possession must try to advance the ball, and score a try, the team on defence must stop them or regain possession. And basically my friend that is it.
I wished the wallabies played with such speed , the blacks ball carrier can throw a pass without looking knowing that there’s multiple players backing up , truly magical to watch . I don’t think the wallabies have much chance in the World Cup so I hope the kiwis go on to win it with such entertaining rugby
Frizell has great footwork at the line and just this level of shear brutality about him in contact too, serious carries in this first 20 every time he touches the ball. Very impressed
That is just about the most exciting 20 mins of sport that you could ever ask for in any sport. Wow! What energy and skill from the All-Blacks. 93% possession!
Pure class. One HUGE difference is when Le Roux kicks a huge kick to touch, we throw it in quick and Jordan attacks (runs) backs at the space. Places so much threat towards the heavy kicking sides. Our default last year was to kick it back without interest and lose possession/territory
Scary thing is they can improve... the rushing defence.. and slowing AB's ball where other teams nullify the AB "s running game... looks like they have learnt workout how to counter their opposition.
Its the new age in Rugby where the players unite all their skills, fitness, finesse and professionalism into 80 minutes of constant running and helping eachother reach the scoreline. If that is not Fundamental Rugby then I'm Chinese!!!
This 20 minutes are absolutely pure and nailbiting pure class from abs the buildup to the first try was so immense and brilliant. One of the best games ever played by abs in recent time after ellis park win . 🔥🙌🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
Honestly this is the sort of game that puts my faith back in Rugby Union. The continuity, the total coverage of the pitch... ending in converting possession, territory, advancement and skill and teamwork into points on the score-board all without stop-start.
rugby union when played positively and at an extremely high level is a far more entertaining game than most other sports. but because of its chess like nature a lot of games can be boring also. thats when it comes down to whoever is playing and there style of playing that makes the game more interesting and exciting. and this is why new zealand is the best to do it because they play the game how its meant to be with high quality skill, flair and precision
@@naytefors1047 Agree, that it needs to be played dynamically and in that spirit even in the professional era which includes the laws and officiating and even the game design itself to thrive.
@@naytefors1047 Some problems I identify: 1. Forwards used to be stuck in amateur days doing their thing before passing to the backs to to their thing and the 2 were separate. It created a better dynamic in games instead of 15 hulks vs 15 hulks 2. Defensive line is behind back foot, should be 10m back like league from scrums for attacking players to go over gain line. 3.Imho in modern game to make the above happen more naturally the PITCHES NEED to be ENLARGE this will reduce total body size/weight and increase speed/space/stamina in games - along with select subs - all of which would reduce collission concussion problems also but retaining specialism eg tall locks, burley props, darting scrum-halfs and greace-lighting wings etc. There's a few more but that would scrub the biggest problems. The fact the ABs can pass so well and make the game open up using such small spaces without the above is testament to their exceptional skills, but even then they're so marginal to pull off/execute.
@@paulmulryne8405 and yes the world cup will be very interesting... starting with the opening match in Paris. PS: I'm not neutral, but my favorite team after France are ABs Allez les bleus
and thank you for organizing the last WC U20, it was really a pleasure to win the 3rd in a row by crushing your wooden teams... 😂 We plan to do a double this year... good luck 😘
🏆🏆🏆 only team back to back All blacks all day greatest record in all sports how many trophies France,Ireland or Nh have hmmm🤔 oh rugby was created in the Northern hemisphere too😂
@@dalerapata4016 no I'm teasing you, my second favorite team after les Bleus, is the ABs.... my third is Pumas. I take back everything i said about your dads 😂😂😘
Frizell run at 2 minutes should have been in highlights. Also whole build - up to first try, as one of greatest ever, rather than refs discussing non-try later.
The first time I've really watched the All Blacks since they'd lost their mana since then imo. This 20 mins was like watching teams of old, control throughout leading to stunning play, what a pleasure to see. I'm glad this popped up in my recommended videos.
i wonder if the All Blacks have learnt anything regarding the rush defense as some here have commented on......considering they were thumped 35-7 at twickernam yesterday......remember....the boks had not played together with that team for more than 2 months so naturally they would have been unprepared......i guess we now see how much they can improve by.
Calling that pass into Malherbe at 6:06 lazy running is just egregious. Smith milked the pen, Frans made the tackle and shot up as quick if nit quicker than any man that weighs what he ways can. This rule needs to seriously be re-looked.
@@matteobannatyne6279 why should Aaron Smith have to wait for the slow ass South African prop? He was ready, the receivers were ready. It was just another bok trying to slow down play
A point a minute!... Just a little behind their record at Albany when they trounced the Springboks 57-00. If they keep it up the same score will re-appear in their next exhibition game at Twickenham... The Springboks will have improved vastly by then & hopefully got rid of 5 or 6 lazy runners slowing down their Team. Go Springboks!!!
@@JaemanEdwards JMan bro - it was 57-0 not 75-0 I think it was 2017 or around there - when Etzabeth 1st became the captain.... It wasn't a fast rattle-dazzle like last week's game but a very gradual consistent All Black brutal attack! Great game to watch - you'll enjoy it bro... Are you from Wellington or Capetown?
Well Done AB that 1st 20(min) perfect. Can it b repeated every game - NO! Remember when ENG kept AB scoreless for 56(min) AB never recovered. AB tend to play with lots of freedom when ahead by 15\20(points) tend to fall off when trailing or chasing the game. Teams will be watchful and catch on/up
Absolute rubbish. The All blacks were famous for coming from behind ti win. The game vs South Africa before this one, they won in the last few minutes. Even in this game after losing the 3rd quarter, they came back in the last 1/4 to seal a comprehensive victory
First 8 mins and Cant losing the ball forward and hospital passing to poor Smith. Great, just what we need. Maybe he can tackle an aussie winger who gives him 2 shots at it...oh....
Its about time Willie Le Roux to start lifting the barbells and gain some healthy weight - Shannon Frizell just gently pushed him off to score a classy try here...
Frizells only mistake was because he knew play had stopped. He wouldn't have gone high if there was no knock-on. That's what it seemed like to me anyway
@user-pr2pt5vm1j they could do far better if they ran more, as the early boks did. That's when the win lose ratio against the ABs was big in the boks favor, but as soon as we substituted kicking in place of running (thanks Naas era), the ABs continued with their running game and caught up in 1996 and overtook us. Our roots in SA was a hard, fast running style but some idiots introduced kicking as our main attack, thereafter our game was diluted and the ABs overtook us. Even in the old Craven week schools competition, kicking outside your 22 was penalized, to get a strong running style, side stepping and continuity flowing. Danie Craven hated kicking good ball away, but we became soft and weak and they dropped the penalties for kicking outside of your 22. We can must get our roots back
17 minutes of Nz style rugby , SA won the next 63 minutes, just like puma’s won the second halve ,, all sides just need to hold Nz for 20 minutes then it’s Their game to win,
From a neutral perspective, the Ireland France 2023 entire game was even better than this. Which is saying something because this was fantastic. If I was an ab for even sa fan, obviously I’d be biased and feel it was up there but that’s cuz you have emotions involved. Without all that, just going by pure rugby.. I can’t believe RWC has these 4 teams on one side of the draw 😭
