In this video, I go over 5 of the worst places you could go on a first date. First dates can be uncomfortable and setting plays a big piece of that. @@SenorJoeBiden Fun date idea that's cheap, if she has dogs go to a dog park. Great way to spend a few hours, it will totally disarm her defenses, and it's cheap. Even if she is not what you wanted it's not wasted time because your doggo got to have fun :)

The beach is always a good place if its summer and accessible for you. A walk along the coastline listening to the ocean waves is always a winner while having nice conversation. If you're looking for something a little more cultured a museum or the ballet are great ideas and can be combined with a nice lunch or dinner.

I’ve always enjoyed mini golf and lazer tag. It brought out that “innocent child” and made us talk more and would make us competitive in a none toxic way. And it’s also public and makes both parties feel comfortable that way.

Lazer tag!!! You might have hit on something. you need a min. of 15 mins of physical activity to get the pheromones flowing. If not dancing, laser tag can do the trick. good alterative.

my last first date was in 1998, when i was 19 and my eventual wife was 18. i think we went bowling, with her twin sister and my college roommate. melanoma took her from me and our kids in june of 2019, and i have no urge to go on another first date in my life, but i enjoyed the video. keep up the good work.

What always intrigued me about dating is just how fragile people are... if everything is not perfect most people just vanish... strange how people behave these days.. I think if you're actually into someone where the date is, is kinda irrelevant as it shows a different side of them, money aside of course.

@SpacePurpBarney well, it's important to note that this concept of relations or marriage based on "love" is extremely new ie, within the 1900s... for thousands of years we as civilizations understood that emotion is a fragile and temporary state of emotion.... a relationship with a core foundation of love is destined for failure... which today's society is a perfect example in comparison to traditional societies which still practice traditional beliefs of relationships based on duty and that belief. The reality is, although you'd like for it to be that way, it never will... there is always a motive behind it, and is a transaction... primarily benefitting the female. Women choose who they sleep with, men choose who they marry. Remember your value and role.

Unfortunately, the fairytale dream is not real. Women will not have a prince swoop in and save them from their circumstances, and women will not love you unconditionally as a man. Relationships are transactional, so is dating. The issue is most modern women have nothing to leverage anymore, but they expect everything to be done by the man and they reciprocate nothing in return. Sex alone is not enough, but modern women think it is because that's what they're taught.

Best first date I organized for an ex. Planned a night out to the local sea side restaurant followed by a walk out on the dunes on a secluded part of the beach to watch the shooting stars burst above the ocean while we discussed who we are and what we wanted out of life. It was a success 🥰

Great video. I think the best first dates for 21+ are the coffee/drink date. Not too expensive and you can get out of there as fast as you need to. I used to think dinner was a good idea on a first date but that can get costly and may not be worth the investment in time & money especially since you have no idea if there will be a second date. These days dinner & drinks can easily exceed $100. A piece of advice which is very important: Before the date TURN OFF YOUR PHONE, PUT IT AWAY AND DON'T TAKE IT BACK OUT UNTIL THE DATE IS OVER! Have a nice day.

This is great advice, Courtney. Especially about not bringing your date to your place on the first date. Because you never know their true motives because you just met this person. One first date i had went so bad, she texted me saying "are you there?" i said yes, she told me to sit at a table by the window. I did, she arrived, and told me i was at the wrong table. No joke. Then after talking awhile she practically called me a quitter because i didn't have a career like her, she was a teacher and i was working at a company doing manual work. It was a disaster, with her judgmental attitude and so on, she told me she had things to do, i said go ahead, take care of it. No goodbyes, that was it.

I feel bad to hear that, I think that either a woman or a man should be polite and kind when it comes to saying no to someone, this attitude can destroy anyone's self-esteem. I have never understood why work and social status is so important to so many women. In fact I am a civil engineer and when people ask me what I do I say that I work on construction sites, just to see their reaction, if I feel a negative reaction it is a sign that this woman is not for me

@@Mogamishu Sod off. Many people and PUA's trick you to get their programs because they convince you that their product is the only way to get women conistently. As if they were selling you a quick fix and a "trick" to automatically get a girl to fall in love with you. It's not gonna work. The only way to see results is to go out and get as much experience as possible. Courtney's channel is very well made because she isn't trying to sell you a program, it's too the point and direct, and contains valuable information.

yeah, my worst first date was at the movies right after work - i had a long day, i was self conscious about my breath the whole time and my voice was hoarse for some reason. she didn't want anything at concession and then i found that she snuck in candy and we shared it, but i thought it was really weird as well. it wasn't her fault, just did not click anywhere, wasn't even worth the effort to try. pretty much just drove her home in silence - and it's such a shame cause she was out of my league look-wise.

@@mohamedadan6678 i should have probably clarified that i usually do facetimes before first dates with girls ive met online, which is mostly where ive been meeting them esp during covid. I think most people should do this. I go on many in-person dates, but facetiming weeds out the ones that wouldnt have worked out at an early stage (kind of like interviews are for a hiring process), esp considering how economical and efficient it is (it’s free and fast). Also stops people from catfishing you lol. But i do agree with you that nothing beats an in-person date

Back when I was a teen and twenty-something, romantic comedies aka "Rom Coms" were still extremely popular. So for a first date it was quite common to go out for a nice dinner, or coffee or even ice cream. There you'd have a long conversation where you get to know one another and then afterward you'd go see a romantic comedy at the local theater. Unfortunately a number of years ago there was a backlash against Rom Coms, to which they were labeled cheesy, stupid, etc., and as a result they rarely make them today. Now, as we all know, superhero/comic book-based movies are extremely popular. With that said, there's really nothing date-worthy to see in the theater anyway. If you're going to see a movie together at the theater, save it for later on in the relationship rather than the first date. As Courtney stated in the video, the first date is all about getting to know the person. So find things to do that will allow the both of you to get to know one another. The problem with relationships today is that people aren't really getting to know one another. Sadly it's all about the hook up culture these days rather than true relationships. Everyone is so quick to jump into bed with each other, instead of learning everything they can about the person so they can potentially have a future with them. As a single woman going into my 40's, I'm looking for a man to settle down with, not to hook up with. I'm not interested in sex on the first, second, or third dates ...or even further into the relationship. For me, sex will be held off until marriage and it's something I'm strict about. So if I meet someone and all they want is to hook up, I won't continue with them. The ever prevalent hook up culture is one of the many things wrong with our world today actually.

I liked how you worded the first date as a fun interview. You definitely want the vibe to be relaxed, lighthearted and fun. I definitely love for you to do a best places to go for a first date. I don't like the movie idea either. I wouldn't recommend a loud crowded venue or expensive restaurant. A public place for lunch yes! I think in the first date I'll go to a museum , park or a zoo , because not only they are very quite places for a talk but also they are as I get to see different historical stuff and uncommon animals which I don't know just gives me a weird connection or something with life 🤔 . This was a pretty good video. A few months before I started dating my girlfriend, this one guy asked her out on a first date to a shooting range. If you made a list for “worst first date activities in Texas,” that would probably have to be included. When my girlfriend and I went on our first date, it was to an art museum. Over three years later, we still enjoy visiting museums!

#5 Had a girl I met online invite me to her place for a 1st meeting. I think it was her birthday and her family was there. They all behaved as though I was her boyfriend. The botanical gardens is great since I have an annual pass and can bring a guest. You have something to look, walk and talk at the same time, it’s a great setting to diffuse those silent awkward moments.

Omg Courtney that was awesome!!! Lmao about he Mom on the first date🤣🤣🤣. Can we say awkward??? I totally feel you were bang on with all of these tips especially the coffee/tea date. I personally feel this is the ultimate option because imo “Coffee can last 15 minutes where you can make a quick getaway or it can last 2-3 hours where you can finish off the date and ask the girl or tell her that you would like to get to know her even more and continue this.”

I heard a story of a first date where the girl brought a couple of her friends and expected the guy to pay for everyone's meal. The whole date she just talked and interacted with her friends. Clearly she was only on the date for a free meal for her and her friends so the guy ordered another round of drinks for everyone, excused himself to go to the restroom then slipped out the back leaving his "date" to pick up the bill.

The best movie date would be at a home and then it should be a movie that yall can have fun with/discuss, but even this, this falls in the the home issue where it only works if it's a first date with a friend that you want to turn into something more.

I'd say another bad idea for a first date would be a sporting event. Attention is going to be divided between watching the event and spending time with the person you're with. Best and last first date I ever went on was meeting her at a Panera for lunch. Eleven years later we're still happily married and have two wonderful kids.

No! I fully agree with you, Courtney. On a first date, meet in a PUBLIC place. Don't go into a private place, like a hotel room (if he's visiting you from another city), or his or her place, because you don't know them well enough, to know that they "won't betray you and violate you." And, even on a third or fourth date, I would ask HER to text two or three of her friends, when she goes into my place, and afterwards when she is safely back in her car.

Good video as always Courtney. I'm sure you get this request alot but could you do a video of talking to girls at the gym? Like the dos and don'ts, when it's a good idea to approach, etc. There are a couple girls at my gym that I'd like to get to know and they're always consistent with their training like I am, I think it's a really good mutual interest to have.

Don't : stare at them while they do their exercises, then suddenly turn away if they glance at you. Do : go over and talk to them. Ask them about the exercise they are doing and what they think is effective. Don't act like you are trying to get a date - act like you are interested in learning and improving, and offer some useful information if you have any. Don't just walk over and offer unsolicited advice or criticize their technique, like some know-it-all. They can tell if you know anything just by looking at your body.
