This was not a simple renovation lawn renovation. It needed a lot of preparation work. The soil itself was very old and tired and had been compacted and compounded with lots of stones, rocks and bits of cement that had been left by the builders who had built an extension onto this home.
So it's safe to say that most of this job would involve me removing stones.. lots of stones.. In fact I ended up filling around 7 bags with stones, mostly by hand.
The soil also needed to be loosened up and levelled a little. So using a variety of rakes as well as my lawn scarifier I was able to get the soil ready for seeding.
The whole job including unloading the van and loading the van after took from 8am till 3pm
