Same. Ide also buy a v8 Sierra from South Africa and build it into something insane. Cosworth rs500 parts or better. Then paint it colour coded Ford 05 Maroon red/orange. Like the mondeo had. Then my dream fleet of a bunch of Evo 5 & 6 cars to play with. TME one or two of them. Or buy the TME THEN BURY IT.
Is this the screamer 9k revs used in dirt 2.0 mk2 escort. It is absolutely incredible instant screamer like nothing else in its class that is sluggish to get going. The dirt 2.0 escort comes with locked diff and heavy front brakes like the cosworth Sierra too. Which ruins them unless you loosen up the diff abit and 50/50 lighter brakes. Then you can brake hard without it spinning out. Why they did that as pre set is dumb. But once you set the escort up to be less aggressive you can appreciate the engine truly. I'm in the top 40% on monthly challenge which is very good for me. I loved mk2 escorts as a kid my step dad stole so many of them all trims and levels of love into them. The very best was a bright yellow fully tricked out rally style one with blue details roll cage trim wheel details it was the best escort he ever stole by miles. Valid question. Country to country fuel refinement can be different. Here I can get 98 octane fuel at every petrol station. 98 octane you can easily run 11.5:1 compression with the right cam. 😊🤜🏼🤛🏼🇦🇺🍀

Nice, but pity about the flatspot at 2750 rpm. I would suggest a re-jet to the 27A main jet, & advancing the timing 2.5 degs. This will pre ignite the fuel just before TDC, & will cure the problem! Happy to have been a help. Pls feel free to let me know if i can be of any further assistance!! 👍🏾
