Sir, just my 50 Cents here. Angelina Jordan Astar, born January 10th 2006 in Oslo, is the oldest daughter to Gery Slattman (Swedish) and Sarah Astar (Iranian/Japanese). She was given by God a slightly longer beautiful neck with a bigger larynx (deeper voice. Happens all the time) and a immens intelligence (genius). In interviews she often stumble over her words. Not because of nervousness, but of how to tell this normal people what she meant. It took me 3 times to fully understand her book (yes she published a book when 9, written when 6). Discovered by her mom at age 1,5 yo singing and than filmed, into a microphone Whitney Houston in English. She said as much, she is a driven soul and as she put it, "I have to sing, music is like air for me". She discovered her love for Jazz and Blues when 2 yo with the collection of her grandparents. Age 3 she had planned her live and started practicing and teaching herself singing for 6 hours a day for 6 days a week, mosten times. Entering the music academy of Oslo ar age 4 for technical advise. Doing the same at LA where she lives since 2019. We know for sure that she speaks fluently Norwegian, English, Japanese, Farsi/Persian and Swedish. She playes for sure piano and guitar. It's insane and hard to believe but real .. truly. . She's been singing since before turning two. She is a child prodigy .. a musical genius. She does most of the arrangements for her covers. She has over 200 videos on RU-vid .. mostly covers, 5 originals awesome interviews. The originals are WHAT IS LIFE ?.. her first .. and quite lovely. Then she did OSLO about the place she was born and spent her first years in .. then comes SHIELD .. a kind of "Bond" movie sound but I've always thought of it as a prayer .. her lyrics .. even from the very first, are interesting and intriguing and her compositions special .. very musical. Then she did MILLION MILES, her first after joining Republic Records, who accepted the deal from her and her family (fabulous family, by the way .. they protect her beautifully) and the deal was that she'd sign but they'd have to wait to introduce her formally to the "music business" until she was done with school .. which is almost here, I think. MILLION MILES is very special .. it's about her grandfather that she loved dearly and he died ... she dropped it right after the start of covid and dedicated it to "anyone who has ever lost a loved one". It is a powerful song and the grief is palpable for sure. Her most recent original was a jazzy one called 7th HEAVEN, nice rhythms and positive lyrics .. enjoyable. That's all I'll tell you because all the angels recommend stuff and you'll have plenty to choose from! She's taken on some icons for sure: Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Adele, Elvis .. Don’t misunderstand me, she covers it wonderfully, it’s a joy to hear, but when she opens that tiny little mouth, the sound that comes out literally knocks you off your chair! She really is a once in a generation child. The only one that even comes close, in my opinion, is the Russian singer Diana Ankudinova, who is also incredibly young and talented. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Her early influences are Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, and Etta James to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. She entered and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, " Wow, what a rendition!" Not only that, but she received the copyrights for her version of this song from Queen, which makes it hers now. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 16 years old, living in Los Angeles, and is signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records have agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. She is working on a new album of original music which will be coming out next year. She recently returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a shoeless homeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day.
