Dude, Your Freddie/Queen reactions are Blessing me EVERY DAY. ;D This song is definitely one of my top three favorites... My top FAV is: "DON'T TRY SO HARD" I always think of "Cool Cat" as "The Freddie & John Friendship Song" BECAUSE: Brian and Roger did NOT like the song and so... they "boycotted" playing it!! Which means that EVERY SINGLE INSTRUMENT you hear on the song, was played by John Deacon! (Except I think that maybe Freddie played the keyboard? I'm not sure.) OTHER SUGGESTION: "PUT OUT THE FIRE"
Freddie did most of his falsettos in the studio because Queen usually tours for 3 to 4 months at a time, so he had to preserve his voice on tours, but at the studio he let go to beautiful heights. Great reaction
It took me a while to like this song since I am not much of a jazz lover but this song is so smooth and perfectly executed. Written by John Deacon, (bass) it is different from any other Queen songs. I now actually love this song so though it took a few listens to get me here, I realize how perfect this song truly is.
Thanks for your reaction! A Freddie & John collaboration this one. I love it. So smooth & danceable. A lot of fans really hated that this was not the Queen album they expected or wanted. But Freddie & John were so together in this wonderful sound. I wish they'd made Hot Space their own solo project instead. We'd have more of this sweetness.
Great reaction. I love this song, Freddie's falsetto and super power vibrato made it so cooooool 😻😻😻 Pls, check out Too Much Love Will Kill You the original video.
I've heard that Freddie was the most comfortable with his voice at this range. I recently heard this in a Queen documentary! I totally love your reaction to Queen, many don't know about this gem. 😎 This is why Freddie is a legend!
Swaying right with you - told you! Just Freddie & John...you can see more of that funk connection they both shared with BACK CHAT from thei HOT SPACE ALBUM. Watch out for that connectivity. And did somebody say DANCE? Yes, BACK CHAT has it all. View Official Queen Video.
Believe it or not, Freddie once said this song was him doing his best impression of George Michael. Just check out some of George Michael’s solo stuff and you’ll see what he means.
One of my favourites this and I love dragon attack, you made my day, this song was just John and Freddie such a different sound when they got together, Freddie was always supportive of John and wanted to do justice to his songs, which he well and truly did on this one, love your excitement and enthusiasm to Queen it warms my heart seeing the younger generation enjoying their songs, great reaction x
The Miracle, Invisible Man, Cool Cat is really only Freddie and John cause Brian and Roger didnt like the disco sound, the video doesnt go with the song.
I know of 3 or 4 ongs off my head that he sings in Falsetto - this one, part of the original Under Pressure, Dont Try so Hard and Soul Brother, all of them nice
The Video Sequences does not fit to the whole Music shown, bro. It is good arranged to be "Live". 🙂 But still great Musik.! By the way: John Deacon was the composer.
You're right. I don't know if you've seen that commercial or they play cool cat. I fell in love because I love Queen I love. When I saw that Yellow Jacket I lost my mind.
