Such a classic from them. Glad to hear the high praise to the band, they're terrific, perfect back up for Stevie. It was easy to see how much you liked Reese's keyboard. It was like a Sunday picnic. To me the best part started at 6:26, with Stevie steppin out for a solo. All of them together, just so much talent. Bringing so much joy. Oh man, miss Stevie so damn much. (And this whole amazing band.) Will it ever end? No. "Leave my little girl alone", "Dirty Pool";in Montreal, "Ain't gone n give up on Love";Capital Theatre, "Cold Shot"; Japan.⬅️=WOW. ☮️to all.
It's not just the smooth swap of the guitar, but when he broke a string that made it necessary to switch to another guitar, he kept playing until the optimum time to switch without missing a beat. You couldn't tell by the music that he had lost a string... because he's that good. If it weren't for the clear visual evidence of the actual broken string flailing around for awhile before the guitar is switched, one listening would never know. I would love to have you react to SRV doing "Leave My Girl Alone" from this same Austin concert. Intense vocals matching angry bursts from the guitar... like swarms of bees coming out in waves after someone poked their hive with a stick!
Thanks, OGO! I love this... SRV was very generous with his musicians (Reese Wynans on keys!) - and then the broken string... just keeps on... if you didn't see it, you'd never know..... another great song is "Mary had a little Lamb" -- ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b8MZ86yr-Uo.html
