Forgetting you're even doing a reaction . . . is the best reaction. There are so many great Doors songs from such a brief career (six albums, five years), and most of us are extremely passionate lifelong fans. The Subs below will recommend lots of songs, to all of which I say YES ! ! ! You can't go wrong.

“The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on an individual level. It's got to happen inside first.” - Jim Morrison

Hey Scribe! I'm so glad you went back and did this song right by listening to the album version. I don't know what you reacted to earlier this week. I watched some of it but not all of it. Anyway, welcome to the next rabbit hole! "Riders on the Storm" is a good place to continue, but so far none of the other 'tubers have done "Five to One" or "Soul Kitchen" or "Love Her Madly" and those tunes are all worthy of a reaction.

Thanks for another exciting reaction, Luv. You mentioned the perfect blend of the drums & organ & guitar & bass ... The funny thing is, the bass & organ were the SAME INSTRUMENT. On this track as with many Doors' songs, the late great Ray Manzarak played a double-deck keyboard with a BASS-section board. That's why the "bass" sounds *hummed* rather than "strummed" on this track. It's also WHY (I'd long wondered) NO bassist was listed among TheDoors personnel-- Only recently did I find out it was Manzarek's keyboard-bass (except for those Doors-tunes which had an occasional "session bassist" in the studio-- Such as on "L.A. Woman".)

She genuinely looks suprised after enjoying the Vox solo, then the guitar comes in over it...the bass is the Rhodes...but thats what was about in them there days , pre synths.....I remember recording a Soul group in south london- it was 4 brothers and they were all virtuosos in their chosen instrument- one played the Jaguar...! Yes Winston- that was you and your brothers in the barn at the back of your Dads house in Plumstead.

You nailed it Girl, the best of the 60s rock musicians were inspired by jazz, influence on how to adlib/ improvisation. They are all in their individual groove, but still being locked into the melody. I've seen them live twice just remarkable. You can her a pin drop as the audience is is taken on a hypnotic journey. Basically they are a trio of instruments, as bass is played on keyboard. The can produce a big sound that says lots. Great reaction. I definitely know your the most talented if the few reactors I've seen, your to artist to join the military, go into what you love. Life is short and only comes around Once.
