PRINCETON, NJ - The Princeton wrestling team concluded its annual Princeton Open this afternoon at Jadwin Gym with one title winner along with 5 other place winners. No. 24 Nate Dugan claimed the title in the 184-pound weight class with three decisions, one major decision, and a final win by medical forfeit.

Nate Dugan, representing Princeton University, had an impressive series of wrestling matches this afternoon. In the first bout, he secured a win by decision over Jakob Gilfoil from West Point Prep, with a final score of 10-3. Dugan continued his winning streak, defeating Ericson Velasquez from Hofstra by decision with a score of 8-1. In a closely contested match, he managed to triumph over Jt Davis of Lehigh, with a final score of 4-2. Finally, in the final bout, Dugan won by a medical forfeit against Kole Mulhauser, securing a first place finish.
In the 285-pound weight class, Matt Cover finished in 3rd place with a notable win by fall in 3:34 in the round of 16. Holden Garcia finished in 6th place in the 165-pound weight class, showcasing his skill and determination on the mat as only a freshman. Mikey Squires earned a 5th place finish in the 174-pound weight class following three straight wins by tech fall. No.12 Luke Stout and Aidan Conner both secured 6th place in the 197-pound weight class.
