I did the foundation on my home and bought some wire supports for the rebar in the grade beams. They are built like a ladder with the wire coming out both sides and then bent upwards to tie the rebar in for horizotal runs. They make perfect rod holders. I cut mine to hold four rods and they push into the ground easily. Perfect for bank fishing and they don't require a hammer to drive into the ground.

That a killer nice flat head early when the water is still cold I hook a good heathy bluegill on a shorter lead and cut the entire tail off back to were it can bleed. All he can do is wiggle around and bleed cant really go were he wants and the flathead dont have to move fast or spend no energy to get a fresh snack. Also a blue cat magnet but that's. Never hurt my feelings yet

I know where that spot is!!! I've fished there before. Sometimes people back there boat in there while ur fishing even though there is not an actual boat ramp there.
This means nothing and I love this channel.But did it throw anyone else off that he lives in a castle. I mean good for him he’s obviously doing things the right way. I don’t know. Love this channel.
I don’t remember which video and like I said this doesn’t matter it’s probably just me being weird. But he was on the porch at his house and you could tell it was in a beautiful hilly area surrounded by other huge houses and he had a huge yard not a normal house a very very big house. Would be millions where I’m from I know things in Tennessee are a little cheaper but still. And again I say good for him don’t take anything from it and I only wrote that on this post because again he mentioned wanting a supermodel that liked poor guys. he’s not a poor guy. He’s a smart guy. It’s part of the every man image.
Dave, That Mustad Fine wire Demon is my Favorite. Been using them for years now. I offset mine when I get them if they are not already and damn that work GREAT!
I was fishing at the Ohio River and I had been there for a couple hours. Caught one flathead and a big hybrid bass. I had put a big skipjack head on one rod, and the piece rite behind the head, "the best piece" on the 2nd rod. My baits had soaked for about 45 minutes and I had walked down about 40 yards to catch some skipjack and I heard my baitclicker screaming on my abu, so I take off running, the rod was bent double and it was a slow take down. So I knew it was a hawg!! I fought it for about 15 minutes and it popped off. It bent my circle hook, into a sewing needle. I'd say it was at least a 40 to 50 lber!!!
Would that Flathead's head fit into a Walleye net? I need a net that extends & $40 for a net is a lot for a guy with 2 giant boys to feed. Lol Might be able to get a bigger replacement net later.
Awesome flattie!!! Dave could you say what rods youre using? I bought some 12 footers but they're not quite stiff enough to chunk a 5 oz weight with bait on it far enough.

that depends on the area I'm fishing..for flatheads and with live bait flatheads will run close to shore when feeding.. I usually set em around 8 ft and let them drift back to the drop off of shallow and deep water.. sometimes I set them deeper just depends on the area..
