In this episode of The Average Joe Fisherman, Winter has arrived. More importantly, rifle season is over, which means it's time to venture back out into the woods. But, if you're a fisherman in a state that gets freezing cold, you know fishing for Trout in the Winter can be difficult. If Trout fishing small rivers isn't challenging enough, trying to do it in the freezing cold can be down right brutal. Despite the cold, my good friend Donny P and I get back at it, spinner fishing for Brown Trout. And, what a wonderful day it turned out to be!
One of the keys to success when fishing for Trout in Michigan during the Winter is to dress appropriately. In the video you will notice that we have on gloves, but what you do not see is that we are also wearing heavy neoprene waders with three layers of clothes. Doing so makes fishing for spinners for Trout in the Winter much more enjoyable.
Despite the cold, it sure was nice to get back to some Michigan Brown Trout Fishing.
