Welcome! In this video I replace the worn out hood lift struts on my 2001 Ford F-250 named "Ms. Mildew". The existing struts could no longer hold up the hood and I was getting pretty tired of using a prop rod. This is a pretty straightforward job as long as you have something to help you prop up the hood as you work. Make sure you don't pop the mounting clips all the way off, they are a pain to put back on.
