BEST VIDEO WITH DETAILS, I SCRATCHED MY HEAD FOR MONTHS AND FINALLY LOOKING AT THIS VIDEO I FOUND OUT THERE IS SMALL DOOR ON BOTTOM THAT NEED TO BE OPENED TO SEE IF ANY DEBREE STUCK INSIDE. THANK YOU
Thank you so much! I opened it up and found a necklace, 3 hair ties, and a paper clip! It was like opening a really crappy pinata but I'm so happy that my printer's printing again, thank you so much :)
Brilliant. HP is the kind of company that has the best engineers and lot of flim flam in between them and the client. Great to get to this video. As a tip to anyone... Remember to close that bottom door😬. Like the lady below I was considering the Bin option... it's now 10 years old I think. But no! Yonder in the dark lay a wee foreign object . Removed and the fantastic plastic started printing again.
This video made me SO happy!!! I did need to speed up the video, but just completed an operation on my printer via your instructions and found a metal beret. I've been trying to print papers for days! THANK YOU!
ZZ Nerium International That's great! Although a metal beret is not the oddest thing I've heard being found in a printer. My favorite to date is still the old chicken bone one customer found. Happy printing!
Thank you so much for this video! My husband was ready to toss the whole thing and get a new one, but I wasn't ready to give up. I had no idea there was a little door on the bottom, and that led me to the problem and now it is good to go. I'll definitely be adding your page to my subscribed list for future issues if needed. :)
Hi, thanks for the reply, I'm afraid i had to get a bit physical with the printer and I couldnt believe that a biro pen had got completely jammed inside! My printer is now working fine again! thanks for your help!
thank you sooooooo much.. you saved me...i was getting so frustrated and thought that maybe i would have to get a new printer... I opened it and found a PEN...!! am just so glad its working again..thanks again for your help
Awesome...frustrated as to why my 2544 wasn't feeding paper straight... by about 4 mins into this video I had recovered an allen key! working perfectly now
+originalpmf I can honestly say that an Allen key is one I've never heard before; it's amazing the things that end up in the printers. I'm glad you were able to get the printer working again!
By pointing out the tray under the printer, you just saved be getting an entirely new machine. And also gained me 40p that my neice had stuck in the poor thing! Thanks :)
Thought the printer had lost its memory, no sign of paper jammed anywhere, watched your video and found a credit card jammed in the system, very hard to see. Removed with long nose pliers, all good. many thanks for this excellent video
+Yola Mack You are welcome. I am so glad to know the that the video was very helpful in clearing the jammed paper and making your printer work. If you need more assistance you can contact HP Phone Support: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Thanks for the demo. I found a sliver of paper when I opened the cleanout drawer which solved the problem. I was resigned to buying a new (non-HP) printer.
Please see the video at 1:45. This shows how to access the clean out door. If there is also no paper here, the printer may need to be serviced to access the jam. I can provide HP technical supports contact information for your country if you would like in a private message.
Thank you so much for the assist! I didn't know about"freeing up of the printer cartridges" (makes perfect sense) I saw something in there and thought it could be part of the printer, but....I decided, what the heck doesn't work anyway. Turns out it was a clipped off tie wrap...I had just installed an updated router. wow. Works like new now thanks to you! And a little bit of me. ;)
This was a great video, but the problem I am having is not a jam... You know that long plastic transparent piece that connects to the back of the ink cartridges...I guess it pulls the cartridge or something? Well that came out of my printer! You can clearly see it bending when you move the ink catridges manually back and forth. I have the same exact printer and would love to keep it! I'm not sure if you can even fix that or not, but I would love some feedback ASAP please.
I was able to fix the paper jam error on my friend's hp desktjet ink advantage 2010, the problem was the wiping blade blocking the path of paper during printing. The mechanism holding the wiping blade is covered with ink causing the blade to get stuck during the printing process. We just cleaned the mechanism holding the wiping blade.
Thanks for the video! I was watching this and thought, "There's no way there's a pen in my printer. Duh." But then when I opened the clean-out door on the bottom, there was... How embarrassing.
+citlali villegas Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The steps in following document apply to both real and false paper jams: bit.ly/2HUFNtA

Thank you soo much. I was livid about my printer and when I watched this video I found that there was a pencil jammed behind the rollers. Thanks so much. I do have a question, do you have any advice on why the canner on this printer doesn't work? to give you a little insight. It putting a 1 inch black line down the middle of the age but everything else is coming out fine. This only happens when I copy something not when I'm printing. any help is greatly appreciated.
+Google User Actually there is a troubleshooting document for just that issue. It is titled "HP Deskjet 3050A (J611) and 3050 (J610) All-in-One Printer Series - Vertical Bands, Lines, or Streaks in Copies or Scans" ( ow.ly/UBLHu ). Please work through the steps to resolve your black line issue.

My printer keeps saying "paper jam" too. There are also no small objects stuck inside. I can pull the the paper out easily and when I try to print again. It just keeps getting stuck. Please help ASAP! :) Thank you!
Same problem as another user, i'll quote "My printer keeps saying "paper jam" too. There are also no small objects stuck inside. I can pull the the paper out easily and when I try to print again. It just keeps getting stuck. Please help ASAP! :)
