I don't even have a neutral wire in my box. I watched a different video of a guy with a flickering/fluttering issue on canned lights and he essentially said he had to change out the fixtures in order to resolve the flickering/fluttering issue. I'm having a little bit of fluttering on my bathroom fixture I installed a Lutron Maestro but it's not terrible. My house was built in 2009 and the fixture is original. That was back before all this LED stuff so the fixture was meant to be used with halogen. I'm wondering if the main issue here is a mismatch between fixtures and bulbs. It's rare for people to update fixtures so I'm sure most of us are trying to use decade + old fixtures with the newer LED bulbs and switches. Anyways... thank you for the video!
The ELV dimmers with the neutral reference from Lutron work significantly better than their other dimmers but they cost $100 a pop and often require the bypass anyway. Ends up being really expensive
I don't have flickering issues but I do get a humming sound with both the Caseta dimmer 'While being dimmed, ex at 50%' & the Lutron Sunnata dimmer. My home originally came with Leviton illumatech dimmers and they don't have any noise when being dimmed or when operating. Have you encountered an issue like this before? The dimming sound from the caseta dimmer is coming from the device itself, whereas the sunnatas come from the light fixtures.
I haven't experienced any audible noise from these dimmers. I've experienced that in past with wiring problems in the house as well as mismatch between the switch power rating and bulb power draw. What is your switch model and bulb combination? Interestingly, I took one of these plugin dimmers from Lutron and increased its current load until it bit the dust and it never produced any sounds I could hear: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q-8-HrcFg8o.html
What a disaster this LED tech has turned out to be. I never imagined it would still be so bad even after many years of R&D. They seem to be getting worse, in fact... but I guess that is typical of government mandated products.
Sorry about that. I just checked on my end and it is still working. I'm pasting it again here just in case. You can also just search Amazon for "Direct-Wire Lighting Bypass, Fixes Light Flicker For UltraPro, Enbrighten, & Jasco Smart Dimmer Switches, 52327" www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08ZJQV7W2
It looks like it is currently not available from Amazon. Here is another one I have used, but is a few dollars more: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E9F084E
