great diagnosis, the amount of times ive replaceda 15p fuse in domestic equipment back in the day, instead of throwing it out or a costlycall out. Knowledge is power .

Excellent job in finding the problem...I'm pretty sure if you'd of had a pro out they would of charged you for a full replacement of the whole system and we all know how expensive that would of turned out to be! My problem is the opposite..the gas works but after replacing the water element I tested it on my drive ALL WELL but on site it trips the van and the on site power box? Thanks for a great video! Thank you for the comment. Your right in saying most places would just change out the whole system. If your 240v element is tripping circuits I would be checking the element to see if there is a possible short, if thats fine work back from there checking the wiring could be an issue with the HV side.

I've had the element out and it looks fine . It's a real mystery how it will work on my drive and not on site..The element is only 450w about 2amps so I can't work it out..I will have a look at the cabling next but will carry on using gas on site for now.

@@runningpanda6570 Maybe a fault with your campground cable? If you use a different lead from home to a campsite.

How long does it take until the red light comes on? Have you checked your gas supply?

@@AutoBuddynz I have similar problem, gas is fresh cylinder ( propane) Heater fires up initially and then sometimes the red light comes on, usually if I switch on again, it will eventually continue to fire up, as it should until temp is reached?
