Ford tractor maintenance
600-800 hydraulic service
and Rear end service. In this video I show what it takes to service the 3 pt hydraulic system and the rear end on a 851 ford tractor.
Ford recommends service every 600 hours.
The hydraulic system uses- 9 quarts of oil
The rear end uses- 8 1/2 quarts of oil.

no need to put RTV sealant on the oil fill openings... water would have to be under pressure to get under the cover and the threads

Yes. I got a 1960 801 ford diesel. And im looking at a loader a guy has that looks like yours but i will have to make it fit to my tractor . its for a 80s ford that had steal rails

What type of hydraulic fluid did you use and did you use the same for both the backend DIF and hydraulic

Hi mark! I show the type of fluid I use in the beginning. And yes, for this tractor it is able to accept the fluid for all sections from rear end to the hydraulics. It’s a universal tractor fluid equivalent to ford.

How much does this tractor weigh?

Robert Sandoval I haven’t had it weighed, but everyone will have a different answer. Some have liquid in the tires some don’t, different attachments weigh differently as well. I believe it to weigh roughly 6k lbs. that’s just guessing

I do not know what the loader adds but the tractor itself is listed as 3400 lb

@@matthewrobertson8937 yea but that’s not ya do I get into account the fluids in the tires. Size and the attachments. That weight is just the tractor alone. That’s why I was saying people will say different weights
