Just a few points - before making any changes, you can save the current configuration as a default to go back to if you break something. Also, double clicking any category will open its setting; save a lot of mouse moving. And - an important setting that wasn't touched on: Tire size setting in the BCM. Most people end up putting oversized tires on their truck. This also effects your speedometer. Changing the tire size setting to the correct size of your new tires will also correct your speedometer. Save you from paying Ford $55 to do it for you. Another nice feature is "Lincoln mirrors", which, if you have power mirrors, will auto fold them in when locking the truck. Police park is another nice feature if you ever run into convenience stores and leave your truck running. Police park will make it so your vehicle cannot be taken out of park unless the key is in the cab. Just one more tidbit many dont know - again, if you have power mirrors, touching the 2 bottom buttons at the same time on the combo lock on your door will fold the mirrors in. :)

Very good instructions, the Forscan adapter is a great way for most people to change their settings to what they like. I have a F150 XTR (Canada) model with annoying daytime driver lights on & was able to fix this problem. Thank you for sharing ! !

Awesome video will save this to reference. Just bought the new OBD link you bought ... you should have mentioned you do not need to know which is is high speed and low speed like the older OBD connectors because this will do it automatically! The new update for Forscan for the spread sheets is awesome. Colt a little trick I do and will do when I make changes (first make a folder in your documents file and name it (OBD changes) or what ever you want ... then after you make the change hit the (Print Screen button) on the key board then open (Paint) and click on paste and you can edit that screen shot by encircling the change you just made with (shape) in red ... then save it to the folder in your documents you made (OBD changes) and I always save as (JPEG) file and name it according to the spread sheet change.

Finally someone explains this to where I can understand. Going to order the OBDlink today. Thank you, thank you. Keep up the great videos.

Dude... I had my OBD EX just sitting for months, because I didn't want to mess with the spreadsheet shit. This video just helped me big time. In less than 20 minutes I was able to add Sport mode to my Badlands Bronco, remove the double honk, and reconfigure the lighting including bambi mode. I tried to add the cameras at speed, but that didn't seem to take. I will have to look at that again, but THANK YOU. Even though this video is for F series Pickups, the process is the same for the Bronco!!

Used forscan to set up my remote start and program the keys yesterday going into the enable disable screen made it seem a lot easier for me than messing up the numbers.

That's the best OBDII connector. I used cheaper ones first and had a lot of problems. I figured forscan would be more expensive but that's not bad. I don't use it much so I just renew the trial version when I do need it.

Great video ! -- Before doing any changes , go to As built Format option first and click save all . This will save the original data on your computer in the Forscan folder. Then you can load the original data back whenever you like to go back to the factory setting by pressing (Load All) tap . This will take you to the Forscan folder and select the file you saved earlier .

For all you guys that are looking to adjust the speedometer its under tire circumference. the distance needs to be in millimeters, so take your tire height in inches, google the conversion to millimeters. Then take that number and multiply it by PI (3.14). That's the number you put in forscan so you have an accurate speedo. Example: 33" tires are 838.2 mm. 838.2x 3.14= 2633mm

That have had those options for a few years now. Way easier, however the spreadsheet gives more options. The simple drop down menus are missing a few options that are only accessible in the Hex menus.

Thanks for a great video and showing us how to actually use the software, step by step. Just wondering if there is a full list of what each thing does. I am sure some are "never touch" stuff, but beyond the honk, bambi and splash screen I wonder where we can find a list of the "annoying stuff" that we can consider changing. Like the 8 or 10 chimes every time you start the truck.... seat belt buzzer, etc. I finding slowly finding info, but only 2-3 things at a time. again, great video.
