In her TEDx talk, Kaashvi Mehta, an extraordinary 11th grader, eloquently explores the transformation she experienced amidst the unprecedented circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting upon her journey, she unveils the enlightening realization of finding solace in the joy of missing out, a departure from the pervasive anxiety of incessantly keeping up with others. With remarkable insight, she underscores the paramount importance of introspection and self-discovery as catalysts for personal growth and fulfillment. Kaashvi Mehta, currently an 11th-grade student at B.D Somani International School, has a great passion for Indian classical music and dance. She also enjoys playing a variety of instruments, including the piano, guitar, and ukulele. Apart from her artistic pursuits, she is deeply committed to environmental and ethical issues, which led her to create a website to express her views. In her upcoming TEDx talk, she will share her personal journey of transitioning from FOMO (fear of missing out) to JOMO (joy of missing out). She is eager to inspire and connect with the audience through her story. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
