I think Fuji cameras have officially hit the FOMO status and people have gone nuts with throwing money at anything with X100 on it. I saw $2300 USD a while back, and decided that I was done with looking! 😂 I got my XE2 for a good price, so I’m good… 🤙🏼
I agree with that. The problem is starting from eBay. Specifically, the business accounts from Japan. They are closely watching the RU-vidrs, Tick-tock and trends and raise the prices up so high.
The Original X100 is just as premium as the X-pro1 . They both have 2 of the best Sensors Fujifilm made. They are Unique and popular at the moment. So that drives the price up. A like new X100 in perfect condition is worth $500+ right now and the X-pro1 is $600+ in good condition. Even the mini x-pro1 (X-E1) has gone up because it shares the x-pro1 sensor. BTW I had an X100s (xtrans ii). It was faster but the pictures from the Original are much better in my opinion. The X-pro1/ X-E1 original x-trans sensor is magic. As is the Bayer in my X100 . Love em both !
I agree. These old cameras produce images with character. Not everyone's piece of cake though. I have all first four x100 now and i tend to use the original more so i added two more OGs to the collection. completely unnecessary but yeah. My Xpro is glued to the 50 f2 for portraits etc. I love that camera too but i think Xpro JPEGs are less contrasty/punchier than XE1's.
I know but you can't find them under $1k AUD. I bought one for 1k recently but am thinking about selling it along with a few more things for Xpro3 or X100V
