I know a lot of people love Brian building up to this outburst of anger during the opiate addiction bit in the educational rap, but there's also something about hearing his enthusiasm circle the drain the whole way through and then try to snap back to the goofy educational rap voice immediately after.

This was crazy. This was a nearly 40 minute performance. With this at the end. Not once, not one time in the entire 40 minutes did he miss the beat. He had every comedic pause, every quip prepared. And then said the names of a couple hundred Pokémon, and only missed like 2 to take a breath. And it was completely memorized. He had no cues, no prompts besides the occasional glance at the screen. Which he did not do once during the rap. BDG is either god, or could kill god, and I do not care if there is a difference.

Decided to play this during the Ryme battle on Pokemon Violet. It works amazingly well. He finished the educational rap and started the 3rd song tone right as she was getting ready to terestalize her Pokemon so the tonal shifts kind of ended up matching the shifts in battle. XD

nobody: me: the most important line in bdg’s 2019 rendition of the pokérap is “there’s a wound in my heart that i can’t get rid of,” (7:44) in reference to giving up terry the tangela. this is because it is a line that single-handedly demonstrates two different skills depending on the version one watches. in the live version, we hear brian’s voice break in emotion and see physical sobs punctuating these words. however, in the studio version bdg actually hits a, frankly speaking, ridiculously high note; therefore demonstrating brian’s amazing vocal skills. within the live version, this same line actually shows off his acting and improv prowess- when his voice broke in the live performance and he was not able to hit the note, bdg improvised sobs of emotion to cover for that fact. moreover, this improvisation only adds to the mythos of the unraveled series and does not, at all, seem like a mistake- it appears to be a heartfelt demonstration of raw emotion. in this essay i will update: yall did this, jsyk https: //youtu. be/ 6A-D3crK-W4
