Functional Movement Exercise-Improve balance and walking with this exercise which will help strengthen and coordinate your core muscles. This is the exercise at the end of my 2 Muscles for Better Balance and Walking video. These muscles include the lower abs, the hip flexors, and the glutes. You will really feel your gluteus medius working with this exercise. If you have weakness in these muscles, do the exercise in small bits to build up your strength. Practicing these exercises will help you keep your spine aligned when walking and help you to maintain your balance when on one leg.
