Very nice Ernest. What I did on the collar piece between the brass inlet and barrel was mill a shallow dimple deep enough to allow the setscrew to hold on better. No slippage or rotation issue ever since
Ok, for those that have the FX Impact mk2 .357 the CF measurements are as follows: Lenth: 1.6in/40mm to 41mm Inside Diameter: 0.5in/ 13.59mm to 14mm Outside Diameter: 0.7in to 0.8in/20mm You can find CF tube on Amazon, search the exact measurements. Your welcome 😉🙂🤣
Love your videos. I have the Impact 35. What size CF and length do I need to do this mod, both the small piece and the barrel shroud at I think I heard you say 27mm.
I think if the shroud cone for 700mm and 800mm can be redesigned or replaced with extended one. 600mm and lower can get a different design to their shrouds.
Where can I purchase these mods for my 25/700mm Impact? Also saw a video of yours that I can no longer find with a 3mm carbon fiber shroud can you provide that link and is that shroud for sale? Thanks for all you do for the air gun community.
I need to figure something out with my shroud. I have one of the early impact .25’s with the telescoping shroud. Well I purchased a 1/2x20 donnyfl shogun suppresser to fit the barrel but really wanted to keep the shroud on also for better back yard friendliness so I also purchased theDonnyFL FX Crown 1/2 x 20 UNF Adapter. Well every time I shoot with the adapter on the pellet clips the adapter. I have tried finding a new telescopic shroud like what I have but no luck. Any advice? Thanks
Hi Ernest Could you do a video on telescopic shroud modification please ?? I have an early Impact MK2 .177 with the old type of telescopic/pull out shroud. I would like to convert it to the more modern fixed length shrouds that are used nowadays. Thanks Mark (UK)
I have a sub 12 fx m3. I measured my shroud and it was 273mm in length. Anyone know where I can buy the carbon shroud? I don’t want to buy any and then have to cut it down myself.
I think that's the best way to tension an fx barrel because with the clamp it pushes the barrel to the right because the clamp has a gap on the right side of it and you can see it when you tension that barrel nut in the front just stand over your gun and you can see that it's to the right by lining it up with the bottle you can see it sorry but it's true

Chris Figueroa -- -> thats a 12mm x 9.5mm, the one I’m using is 20mm OD x 14mm ID a 3mm / .1190” thick carbon fiber, 9.5mm isn’t going to fit over the FX barrel of 14.95mm.
Hi, do you have an impact???, m5 screw when tight you can’t pull barrel out !, with your experience with the impact what is a reasonable design if this barrel screw is 99% affective with the intended design???
@@ernestrowe5061 I had Impact but it ended up in a trash bin. When you push a barrel from one side by a grub screw it becomes very slightly out of alignment in relation to the pellet probe. Other thing is you try to achieve rigidity by using a carbon collar or carbon sleeve. You also suggest using one more grub screw if one is not enough. A lot of efforts to make this platform rigid. It is simply a very poor design dictated by cost reduction. The changes that you apply should guide you to achieve a reasonable design. I cannot imagine how this joke called Impact became popular. People have limited cognitive capabilities and that is the reason.
