I mean he did manage to fool the other angels and escape. That was some quick thinking, then again they are angels so they just trusted he went pick up his things from his nonexistent desk. Michael knew he had no desk yet she politely waited till it was clear he wasn’t coming back.😂
how can the same character be such a horrible person one minute and literal himbo the next??? And still be 100% convincing in both. mAN i love this show-
My theory the Himbo persona is the real Gabriel. The jerk persona is fake, he only was a jerk to appease heaven. Don't ask questions, do as I say, I am important, if I break rules I will take a free fall to hell. But once he met Beelzebub, he no longer cared if he went to hell.
I can't believe they made Gabriel such as likable character this whole season. I hated him in season 1 but all throughout this season i was like: awwwww little brainless baby ❤
Another silly Jim moment worth mentioning: In the background of Crowley talking to Shax at the bookshop, you can see Jim discovering gravity with some books It's absolutely hilarious😂
i find it interesting that when aziraphale and crowley used the tiniest amount of their power for the miracle for gabriel, it was amplified into the biggest miracle the angels had seen in centuries, just because it was the power of a demon and angel working together. imagine what the power would have been if they hadn't been trying to use as little miracle magic as possible. I feel like this hints at gods great plan in the show. The angel and demons are kind of hard to tell apart when you look at attitudes, at least the higher up angels are very similar to demons in behaviour. perhaps the whole point of this experiment with earth is to try and get angels and demons to come together for the good of humanity.
I also love how, looking back, Gabriel going to Aziraphale makes so much sense. Before he took out his memory, he realized couldn't directly head to Beelzebub in that current state, so where to go until he gets everything in order? To Aziraphale. Who may hate him after everything that transpired between them, but who may also be the one person, thanks to his relationship with Crowley, who would be sympathetic towards him consorting with a demon and wouldn't turn on him for it.
I love that after he gets away from all the bureaucracy and awful duties he has to carry out--and after he finds people who treat him with some care--he reverts to what's maybe his "true" self, which has a sense of humor and wonder. But still vain and clothes-horsey.
In season 6 at 31 : 50 while Shax is threatening Beelzebub and Beelzebub offers Shax to be grand duke of hell, Gabriel's facial expressions are *priceless*. It took me a long time to even notice them since I was always watching Beelzebub since they were speaking.
@@letolethe3344 Don't worry, his idea of petty revenge is sleeping on their couch and eating all their food because he is in his depression phase of the breakup with Aziraphale.
I watched Good Omens 1 and 2 twice each. Then I saw Mad Men. And now I can't keep a straight face anytime I watch Jon Hamm play Gabriel. He is Don Draper being silly ahahaha
0:59 Fun fact! one of the books gabriel uses as a fly swatter is entitled "The Wicked Bible!!" I can't see the title of the other one, but it could be the Holy Bible (this is a random guess), and if it IS, that is EXCELLENT attention to detail. it IS brown with gold-looking corners, so maybe?
Okay, I may have imagined it, but I think there’s a scene out there where Gabriel temporarily snaps out of his amnesia and starts prophesying and I can’t find it for the life of me!
I see several overall possible resolutions for season 3, with possible combinations of the following: 1) Aziraphale and Crowley (and maybe all angels and demons) end up becoming human (possibly because God is revealed as permanently missing/dead/transformed or otherwise just not available or needed any more; 2) we learn that angels/demons were actually the ones God intended to "test" by creating humans rather than testing humans--she wanted to see how they treated weaker beings when they were given a lot of power. 3) Heaven/Hell end up making peace 4) Heaven/Hell try to make war on humanity jointly as Crowley predicted and are permanently vanquished and are either done away with by humanity entirely (leaving all angels/demons human) or are forced to make peace between them by humans 4) Crowley and Aziraphale, together, are revealed to be God, who was somehow separated in half by the Metatron and/or other rogue angels/demons, explaining why She's been silent so long and why C & A are so powerful together.
I always thought John Ham should be more famous then he is. Like in terms of star power from 1-10 he's at like a 6 or 7 but he should be more like a 8 or 9, like he should be in higher profile stuff.
Okay, I need to know, was the statue a real statue that happened to look like Jhon Hamm, and they were like, "We can't _not_ include that somewhere in the show!"??
KidMe: “Sister… Adam and Eve can’t have bellybuttons. Where’s their Mommy?” Sister: “Faith, Richard. Have faith. One day… You’ll get your answers.” Are you kidding me?
